The Great Thief

Chapter 919 An Opportunity

Chapter 919 An Opportunity

"I’m almost out of Mana."

Despite having Hachi Chan’s Mana Tide, March Rain was still in an awkward position.

If she was a Magic profession, they would have just lost some fighting power, but a healer without Mana couldn’t do anything.

"Breezy, use Shadowmeld. Wandering, move up. Hachi Chan, heal him," Lu Li instructed. Although he knew that Wandering wouldn’t last long, he could stall for as long as possible with his damage reduction skills.

"You best be careful," Wandering sneered.

If Azure Sea Breeze was sent to his death, he definitely would have something to say about it. However, Wandering was different – he didn’t seem to mind now, but he would have made a mental note to be repaid for this later.

"We’ll give you a few more points later. Take it easy," Lu Li said as he waved his hand at the threat that was directed at him.

Although Wandering was not the main tank and didn’t have equipment geared towards Defense, he was still a Plate Armored player and had a variety of skills that reduced damage. While he had been complaining all day, he was undeniably good at what he did when it counted.

The moment that Lu Li issued the order, he took over Azure Sea Breeze’s role against the Boss.

"HP, I need HP!"

He didn’t mean to call out like this, but couldn’t help himself after he had cast his helmet’s damage reduction effect. The normally handsome and composed Wandering seemed to be covered in a thick and bloody fog.

"When did you get that? It looks so flashy," Azure Sea Breeze asked virtuously. Wandering usually cared more about the way his equipment looked more than its Attributes.

Lu Li had experienced this blood fog before when using the Vampirism effect on his ring. After Fortifying it three times, he had 35% Vampirism, but it was far worse than Wandering’s hat and had a slightly different effect.

At this time, Wandering’s HP suddenly rose, and it obviously wasn’t Hachi Chan’s doing.

Hoewver, it was still hard to say that this hat was better than Lu Li’s Epic ring. After all, the hat could only be used once a day while Lu Li’s Ring had a trigger effect. Moreover, Vampirism was only one of the special effects on the Ring.

"Should I slow down? I feel like this guy can’t keep it up for much longer," Lonesome Flower said. He clearly didn’t trust Wandering as much.

It seemed as though Wandering had wasted everything in the first few moments and would soon be defeated.

"It’s okay; keep dealing damage. Breezy has almost finished regenerating," Lu Li said, but withheld what he was thinking. Even if Wandering couldn’t hold it and Lonesome Flower started getting attacked, he would just have to bear that burden.

"Pull it off me, quickly!" Wandering cried out. He really couldn’t keep it for much longer. Despite his Vampirism, his remaining damage reduction skills wouldn’t help him resist the Boss for much longer.

"March Rain, are you done? Give Wandering a bit of healing," Lu Li instructed helplessly.

"I can hold it for a while, but we probably can’t wait long enough for Shadowfiend," March Rain said. She had just regenerated some Mana from potion and began to heal Wandering.

"Bloodlust is done!" Sakura Memories shouted.

Bloodlust had an eight minute cooldown, so it could be used multiple times in a drawn-out fight like this.

"Cast it! Everyone, else attack with all you’ve got!" Lu Li yelled. The moment Sakura Memories cast Bloodlust, he immediately transformed into a Giant Wolf and began to attack the Boss furiously. He didn’t care about going Over Threat anymore.

There was nothing more he could do now.

The moment their Main Tank died, no one else would be able to hold up against Balnazzar. Moreover, when Wandering ran out of damage reduction skills, he would go down, so everyone had to take this opportunity to do their best.

"Wandering remember to say something when you run out of damage reduction skills. Let Breezy take over after that," the Giant Wolf said.

"My damage reduction skills still haven’t refreshed," Azure Sea Breeze called out as he unsheathed his one-handed sword and attacked the Boss so it didn’t look like he was doing nothing. Everyone was fighting the Boss, but why did Lu Li want him to go in again?

He really didn’t want to die in this last moment; he had fought too hard to not receive the EXP now.

"If you don’t go in, who will? Quickly, don’t let Wandering die," Lu Li urged. He didn’t care about who died at this point; they just needed to kill the Boss.

Sometimes, the Main Tank just had to be the one to take the hit for his teammates.

"Heavens, why do I have to die first again? Big bro Lu Li, my EXP. Can you resurrect me if I die?" Azure Sea Breeze pleaded. He looked as though he was about to cry.

"My Resurrect has already been used; I can’t do anything for you."

Lu Li couldn’t help here, but the phrase Big bro Lu Li gave him a shiver. He would rather Azure Sea Breeze die now than hear him say that again.

"Hachi, sis!" Azure Sea Breeze cried out as he took over from Wandering. He had begun to look blue after taking a huge chunk of damage.

Hachi Chan suddenly decided that now was a good time to pick a fight, which left everyone else speechless.

"You’re a big pig. Call me father."

"Hey... I really can’t do that," Azure Sea Breeze sobbed with real tears.

Lu Li’s transformation effect had ended and Balnazzar had just over 20,000HP. He looked at the Mana that March Rain had remaining and began to worry.

"Hachi Chan, if you have another scroll like that last one, use it now," Remnant Dream suggested. She had also realized that the situation was dire. All the pets that she could summon had died, and she didn’t even have the Mana to revive them.

"You dummy, do you think that was some kind of vegetable I got from the market," Hachi Chan spat.

"Goodbye everyone," Azure Sea Breeze sighed as he fell to the ground.

Wandering rushed to Taunt Balnazzar without saying anything, and the Boss killed him in two hits.

"Execute, use Execute!" Azure Sea Breeze screamed at Moonlight from the ground. The Berserker’s Execute could cause a lot of damage when the target’s HP was less than 5%, but against a Boss, the damage was reduced and there was a very small chance of success.

"It’s on cooldown; I just used it," Moonlight said calmly.

Balnazzar quickly caught up to Lonesome Flower and killed him with a single attack. Next, it was Remnant Dream who was trying to run away with her short legs...

"Feign Death!" Lu Li shouted.

"Oh yeah," Remnant Dream remembered and immediately cancelled the aggro that had caused the Boss to target her.

Balnazzar was confused for a moment, then resolutely gave up on the little Hunter and turned to the healer.

Lu Li had used his skills at the beginning to cancel his aggro before he was selected. While all this was happening, he was attacking the Boss wildly and casting his escape skills.

Like Moonlight, he could only wait now and hope for a miracle.
