The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 470

Chapter 470

Chapter 470: Cheated on Sierra!

“I’m grateful that you showed up. Seems like you still care about my wife.” Jack answered while taking a sip from his glass.

Meanwhile, Charles simply looked over at the towering man who stood beside him. There was the chief darkness around him, hard to break the barriers and invade his emotions.

However, today he had specially come prepared mentally for revelation at least from her husband.

Charles hadn’t seen him or met him even though he knew who he was. The reason was simple: this man had snatched the love of his life from him so easily, and when Sierra herself had thought of walking away, he had no reason to hold her back either.

Jack simply tasted his own wine for a while before he had brought the other glass and shifted it to Charles’s side. “Take It. Our talks will be long today, Mr. Charles.”

“How long will it take? Just tell me the truth. And I truly think that Mr. Shen will not actually modify it either.” Charles commented with evident sarcasticness.

He was clear-headed that there were chances that this man would use the words against him. Tell him to stay away from Sierra?

.....

Probably yes, since no man would allow his wife’s ex-boyfriend to come closer to his wife. Neither would he if he was in his shoes.

However, a man-to-man talk was surely needed in his eyes.

Jack didn’t comment anything else but his eyes had curved upwards with the evident smirk that had landed in those curves. “Mr. Charles, you are actually holding a lot of aggression in yourself.”

“You were the one who actually moved in with my wife years ago, before our marriage. Shouldn’t I hold the power to show my fury towards your actions?” Jack had simply thrown a hint but Charles didn’t bother to mind it.

“If Jack Shen is such a petty person, I don’t think that you would have loved and married my lover five years ago. You already knew whose girlfriend she was, and even then you dared to entertain her.” Charles answered with the most evident destiny game which was played.

Jack was a well-built man, having a strong and influential family background. Was he any fool to act who had no idea what was going on between him and Sierra at that time?

It was hardly believed by Charles and he wasn’t ready to accept this at any cost either.

“Mr. Johnson is well informed. Yet your luck wasn’t supportive of you since you weren’t able to get married to a lady whom you loved.”

“Some things are out of our control, Mr. Shen. If you could please apprise me about whatever you had to say now.” Jack didn’t halter the topic anymore.

He already knew the man cleverly. Knowing that Jack wasn’t someone ordinary and probably won’t throw the useless tricks over his head.

At the same time, Jack didn’t answer initially. While his eyes were still very much focussed on the sky and the moon, there was a significant change in the glow on his face. “Mr. Charles, I don’t have any personal enmity with you or your love for Sierra.”

“She has been with me for the past few years now. And today I’m officially letting you know that we are officially going out for the option of divorce.” Jack had truthfully told but in return, Charles did not display much of his expressions.

Staring at the man from the corner of his eyes, Jack had already noted the same. Since Charles arrived, he knew that the man won’t let his emotions flow like any other river either.

“You don’t look surprised, Mr. Johnson.” Jack said, to which Charles’s simple answer came, “Don’t act as if you were unaware of the major fact that I already knew about this... unofficially though.”

“Correct.”

“So don’t expect any reaction from me since that is the last thing I would show.” Charles’s brutal response did not shake Jack’s confidence.

But there was a tinge of excitement that erupted inside his brain. Taking a deep breath, Jack had already prepared himself for the final revelations. Without any further due, he had opened his mouth. “Five years ago, she wanted to marry you.”

“Sierra and you moved into the same flat. Even though she was normally your secretary, who knows how love blossomed between you two. Even though you had actually rejected the girl your father had arranged for your marriage and both of you decided to take the step ahead in your relationship after asking for her permission to get into the same home. Am I right?”

Jack’s every statement made Charles recall the past events. Everything wasn’t as smooth as silk either.

But they were stubborn heads and young blood getting into the extremely steamy love affair.

Charles didn’t respond with the words but did give his small nod to which Jack further continued, “With time, things progressed. You were already happy with each other’s company. Yet the turmoil was that Sierra wanted a wedding and you weren’t interested in settling down so early.”

“Sierra persisted and this resulted in fights and many sleepless nights. Correct me if I mentioned something wrong.”

At this stage, Charles’s lips were sealed into a thin line. There was no scope for him to deny whatsoever that Jack had spoken. In fact, such detailed information only raised his mind to rethink what Sierra must have told him.

‘But had she even talked about me in such detail?’ It was an unrealistic fact resting in his heart.

However, without him opposing the words only made Jack becomes more confident. He took the sip out from his glass before taking a deep breath to come again on the considerable actuality.

“But everything changed... when you started to spend more time outside the house. You started to ignore Sierra’s phone calls and even didn’t come home for days....” Jack had to take a pause to divert his eyes in Charles’s direction, to find the man soaking with sweat. “...and at the end of the day....you ended up cheating on Sierra too..”

“NO! NEVER!”
