Paige didn't flinch at all. She looked at him and said, "I said I'm not going!"

Seeing Paige, who was stubborn, Liam was so angry that he raised his arm and was about to slap her face.

Paige immediately took a step back to avoid his slap.

Paige's attempt to dodge had agitated Liam further and he tried to hit her once again. She did not fight back because he was her dad, but it did not mean that she would stay still to get hit by him.

Paige dodged him when she saw that Liam was chasing to hit her.

Unfortunately, Liam stepped on the puddle of water from the glass that he threw and fell hard on the ground.

He moaned in pain when the broken pieces of the glass stabbed into his palms.

Paige was startled by his cry. She looked over and saw blood on Liam's left palm.

She stopped running and turned to help Liam immediately. He then took the chance to slap Paige with his right hand angrily.

Never was it in Paige's mind that one day her dad would slap her. In fact, the slap was so hard that half of her face was numbed.

She touched her face and looked at Liam, "How could you slap me?"

"You filthy daughter, how did I even raise you?" Liam cursed and shouted at her.

"If I had known that you were this stone-hearted, I would have killed you from the very beginning. You won't even be living here on earth."

After listening to the words from her very own father, Paige was heartbroken and disappointed. Despite that, as she saw the body fluid flowing down from his palm, she suppressed her feelings and said, "I'll take you to hospital."

Liam was badly injured. Reaching this age of his, anxiety filled him up as he looked at the amount of blood there.

That was why he allowed Paige to send him to the hospital. As Paige was helping him to the door, he continued to scold and lecture her.

In the car, Joseph was about to give James a call. However, when he saw Liam and Paige, he was shocked. He got off the car and asked, "What happened?"

"There was an accident. My dad is injured. We need to bring him to the hospital now."

Paige said hurriedly as Joseph made space for Liam to get into his car. At the same time, his eyes landed on Paige's cheek, "What happened to your face?" He asked with a serious look.

"Uhm.." Paige stammered.

Sitting in the car, Liam said angrily, "I slapped this b*tch! How dare she go against me? A slap is probably not even enough!"

Joseph's blood boiled after hearing that. He turned around and met Liam's eyes.

Then, Liam immediately kept quiet as he saw the fire in Joseph's eyes.

Even Paige was surprised by the look on Joseph's face. She held Joseph's arm and said, "It's alright. Let's send him to the hospital first."

"Okay!" Joseph held Paige's hand and got into the car. Seeing that Liam's hand was bleeding non-stop, for the sake of Paige, he handed a towel to Liam, "Wrap your hand with this!"

"Wrap? Don't you see that it's full of glass? Are you trying to kill me?" Liam had riled up once again.

Before Joseph replied, Bobby, the driver, turned around and said, "Watch your mouth! He is not someone whom you can talk to him that way."

Bobby's threatening look made Liam shut his mouth immediately.

Bobby was extremely furious after hearing what did Liam do to Paige.

How could he hit his own precious daughter?

Not only did he hit her, he even had the guts to talk to Joseph in that manner. If it weren't for Paige and Joseph, Bobby would have given him a lesson.

Just after they arrived at the hospital, Liam was sent to the operating room to be attended instantly.

The mark on Paige's cheek hurt Joseph so much that his heart almost stopped for a moment. He asked her, "Does it hurt? I'll get the doctor to bring an ice pack for you."

"It's nothing. My skin isn't that thin. It'll recover soon."

"Just listen to me. Bobby will stay here. Let me bring you to the doctor," Joseph pulled Paige before she could even say anything.

Bobby, who was the only one outside the operating room, called a nurse over and whispered something to her. The nurse nodded and went in to talk to the doctor.

After hearing what the nurse said, the doctor sterilized Liam's wound with some alcohol.

It was so painful that Liam shouted loudly.

Not only that, the doctor was not even careful during the process of taking the pieces out from Liam's palm. The pain was so unbearable for Liam that he almost passed out from it.

On the other side, Paige heard all the moaning and shouting when she came back.

She then rushed to the room and she wanted to see what happened.

Bobby stopped her and said, "They are in process of sterilization. Don't worry, he'll be out soon."

"Oh, I see. I thought something happened to him! It's all my fault, I should've just let him hit me and not

run away."

As Paige was blaming herself, there was a look of coldness on Joseph's face.

Joseph was extremely pissed off when hearing about the way Liam treated his princess.

After his wound was being treated, the doctor decided to give Liam some infusions as he was afraid that the wound might inflame over time.

It was totally not Liam's day. The business cooperation was cancelled and he was sent to the hospital. It was all because of Paige.

Liam was extremely irritated. He wanted to scold Paige to vent his anger, but seeing Joseph there, he did not dare to do so.

He had never suffered in that way in his entire life before.

Looking at Paige, he was frustrated and annoyed. To him, Isabella and her daughter were much better than that.

He grumpily told Paige, "Just leave! I'll be fine."

"'I stay here with you. Are you hungry? Shall I get something for you?"

"I'm good. I'll just let my assistant look after me" Liam replied impatiently, "Just leave. Don't disturb me."

Paige knew how badly Liam wanted her to leave and said, "Alright then, I'll call your assistant and ask him to come right now."

As Paige called the assistant, Joseph nudged and mouthed to her about their plan to Australia. Paige hesitated for a while and said, "Dad, I'll be travelling abroad for a few days."

"Travel abroad? What for? I asked you to go and meet Hardy…"

Liam's words stuck at the back of his throat after meeting Joseph's cold eyes. He waved his hand and said, "Ok, fine! Just do whatever you want!"
