Chapter 1592

James and Callan infiltrated Divine Sword Villa in search of the prisoners. Based on Callan’s observation, a fierce battle had just occurred on the premise. Everyone else apart from a handful of survivors had been killed. Meanwhile, the survivors should be imprisoned inside Divine Sword Villa and under the control of Gu venom. Neither of them knew the exact location.

After going separate ways, James and Callan swiftly went on the move. In the blink of an eye, James appeared on the roof of a building, contemplating his next course of action. He believed that it would be highly impossible to search for the prisoners in Divine Sword Villa, which was heavily guarded. After some contemplation, he decided to search for Childe Giovanni to learn more about the current situation.

During the day, Nehemiah had bragged to him about the immense power of Dragonslayer. James believed that it was most unwise of Nehemiah to boast about the emergence of Dragonslayer at such a critical moment. Nehemiah might have been trying to pique his curiosity.

Standing on the rooftop, James scanned his surroundings. Then, he saw someone from the corner of his eye.

In a room in the courtyard…

Nehemiah tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. He stood up and walked outside. Just as he opened the door, he realized that his path was blocked. Dejected, he returned to his room while sighing.

James witnessed the entire scene. Furrowing his eyebrows, he murmured, “The people guarding the door shouldn’t be from Divine Sword Villa. Nehemiah must have been placed under house arrest by the Gu Sect. But, why is he the only one to be placed under house arrest?”

James decided to have a look. Snapping his finger, waves of energy struck the acupuncture points of the guards. In an instant, they stood there petrified.

James leaped from the roof and landed steadily on the ground, Then, he walked in right through the door. “Who’s there?”

Upon hearing the sound of footsteps, Nehemiah, who had just taken a seat, stood up immediately. Realizing it was James, he relaxed a little and took his seat once more. Looking at James, he said coldly,” I thought you left. Why have you returned?”

James walked in, closed the door, and sat on a stool.

Looking at Nehemiah, he said smilingly, “Your words during the day greatly inspired me. I have decided to steal the sword.”

“Hmph!”

Nehemiah smirked.

“Who do you think you are, James? What makes you think that you can steal a sword from Divine Sword Villa?”

In the blink of an eye, James appeared before Nehemiah and grabbed him by the collar, lifting him off the ground.

“Wh-What are you trying to do?”

Nehemiah’s face paled.

James said coldly, “Answer my question honestly if you wish to live.”

Nehemiah calmed down and patted James’ hand, “Let me down first.”

James released him.

Looking at James, Nehemiah asked, “What are you here for? Surely you didn’t come here just for Dragonslayer.”

James ignored his question and asked, “Did something happen at Divine Sword Villa?”
