Upon hearing this, Nehemiah’s expression darkened. After a while, he nodded slightly, “Yes.”

James asked, “What happened?”

Nehemiah had boasted about Dragonslayer during the day to attract James’ attention. James’ return was within his calculations. He knew that James and Callan were not here to have a glimpse of Dragonslayer but for something else.

Unable to leave Divine Sword Villa, he had no way of seeking help from the outside world. So, he answered James’ question honestly.

“About a week ago, unknown men stormed Divine Sword Villa and killed almost every disciple inside. The Sect Elders, on the other hand, were imprisoned. These men’s objective was the forthcoming

Dragonslayer. I don’t know who they are. I only know that they are strong. Even the owner of Divine Sword Villa was instantly subdued.”

As he said that, he looked at James.

“Your reputation precedes you, James. I hope you can save Divine Sword Villa.”

Nehemiah’s words corroborated Callan’s speculation.

James asked, “Where are the Sect Elders imprisoned? Not only that, why are you not controlled by Gu venom?”

Nehemiah replied, “The bloodline of Divine Sword Villa is necessary for the creation of Dragonslayer. That’s why I was spared. They intend to sacrifice my blood for the sword.”

Upon hearing this, realization dawned on James’ face.

Nehemiah continued, “They are all imprisoned in the mountain behind the courtyard. As that place is heavily guarded, it’s impossible to even approach it. James, as I can’t leave this place at the moment, you’re the only one I can rely on. Leave immediately and head to the Mount Thunder Sect. Inform them of the situation and ask them to summon the world’s martial artists to save Divine Sword Villa.

“Dragonslayer was forged with the effort of multiple generations throughout a millennium. It possesses immense power. If it falls into the hands of the wicked, the consequences will be dire.”

Nehemiah pleaded.

Upon understanding the situation, James nodded and said, “I’ll think of a way.”

He did not linger for long and turned to leave.

After he left, Nehemiah breathed a sigh of relief.

After James left, he freed the acupuncture points of the guards from afar. Then, he hurriedly retreated from Divine Sword Villa.

He waited patiently in the pristine forest in the vicinity of Divine Sword Villa.

Soon, Callan returned.

James asked, “How was the situation?”

Callan said in frustration, “Divine Sword Villa is too heavily guarded. I didn’t venture too far in as I was worried I’d get caught. So, i didn’t manage to get any additional information. By the way, did you find anything?”

James nodded. “I learned quite a bit about the current situation.”

He told Callan everything he learned.

Then, he looked at Callan and asked, “What do you think we should do next?”

Callan remained silent. After some time, he said, “It’s too late now to head over to the Mount Thunder Sect and seek their help. We can only depend on ourselves. We should first formulate a comprehensive plan. Let’s see… We’ll sneak into Divine Sword Villa and save the prisoners, remove the Gu venom inside their bodies, and think of a way to annihilate Lucjan.”

“Mhm.”

James nodded.

He shared the same opinion. It was far too late to seek reinforcement. Besides, he did not wish to let the opportunity to kill Lucjan slip through his grasp. He silently swore to annihilate Lucjan once and for all and take back Crucifier and the Blade of Justice. Besides, once Lucjan was dead, the Gu Sect would be leaderless. By then, it would be much easier to deal with them.

The two gathered and began formulating a plan.

They planned to conduct a night operation.
