The Otherworldly Adventures of a Super Naive Girl

Chapter 175

Chapter 175: The Seeking Stone and the Void

“It is. It’s the key to another world,” said Pei.[notes]

“Key to another world? What’d you mean?” Now the other students were really curious, this included Feng Wu. She turned to look at Pei.

He smiled. “Do you remember the place we took the last entrance assessment? It was a magical world with all sorts of opportunities and dangers. That world was created by Lord Longze[notes] a thousand years ago. The man was a genius.

When he ascended above he left this mini world, the virtual world, behind. It’s held in trust by the school. You can go there to practice your skills. If you’re lucky you can even find spells and items that Lord Longze left behind.

The only way to get there is to use the stone. It’ll guide you to the entrance, so without one you won’t be able to get in.”

You wouldn’t know this kind of stuff unless you were part of the temple, but Pei had family connections.

“You mean that place we visited before wasn’t a real world?! That’s crazy; the place was huge! To be able to make such a place, His Excellency Longze is amazing!”

Creating worlds was something only gods could do, and yet Longze did it before ascending and becoming a god. How incredibly powerful was he?!

“Not quite. The place we were in was just the outskirts of the virtual world, the so-called “void” boundary. The teachers isolated it from the rest of the virtual world. The world itself is enormous. The boundary can’t even compare.

“What?! That’s amazing!”

“Truly, Lord Longze is too powerful.”[notes]

“When can we go back this void place again?”

“The school gave Feng Wu the stone, does that mean she can go there to practice?!”

Now that they knew what the stone was, the students were ablaze with chatter. Some enviously hated Feng Wu.

“That’s right. Students with the stone can enter the void. But the rest of you don’t have to worry. As long as you complete the Money Making assignment, as long as you pass, the school will give everyone a junior seeking stone. It’s just that the top 50 will get a head start, and their stones are a better quality.

Anyone under 50 can only enter the void part of the virtual world at the end of the second semester. Those with junior stones have a 4 hour virtual world limit, C-level stones have an 8 hour limit, and B-level stones have no limit. There is a issue with that though. B-level stones won’t replenish your body. You have to leave the virtual world to take care of your physical body, to eat and drink you know.

Your body will suffer if you stay there too long. There is a sensor that senses when your body is overwhelmed. If the god there detects you don’t have enough energy, you’ll be kicked out.”

Pei wanted them to understand so he talked more about the classification system.

“If B-level stones are so strong, what’s the point of A-level stones?” Xi asked.[notes]

“Yeah, what’s the A-level stones for? They should be even better right?”

One by one, the students expressed their curiosity.

Feng Wu listened attentively. The mention of the virtual world reminded her of the librarian.[notes] If she could return there, then did that mean she could see him again?

She liked the old librarian. He’d been kind to her and took good care of her while she was there. She hadn’t thought she’d ever see him again. That she could made her happy and her lips quirked up in a slight smile. josei

Having drooled enough over the stone, Ink reluctantly handed it back to Feng Wu.

He answered everyone’s questions. “A-level stones are like B-level stones, you can stay as long as you want in the virtual world. But A-level stones can do something no other stone can do - it can replenish your energy. That means you don’t have to exit in order to eat and stuff. A-level holders can stay in the virtual world forever while their bodies lay dormant. But it’s not a good idea to stay that long though, because you still need to leave so you can move your bones and muscles. I heard one guy stayed in there for a month. By the time he came out he couldn’t walk! It took him a week to regain his mobility.

So even if you have the best stone, you can’t stay in there forever. Your body will rust from disuse!” It was quite an info dump.

“You seem to know a lot.” Pei didn’t mind someone stealing the limelight from him, on the contrary he was curious what kind of influence Ink had. The school prohibited upperclassmen from telling the freshmen too much, so Ink had to get his information from somewhere else.

Did he belong to one of the big families? Lord Longze left the virtual world to the school, but that wasn’t to say there was only one entrance. There was more than one way to get in. So aside from students at school, members of the major powers and big families - not to mention various other entities, also cultivated there.

“Don’t bother guessing. I’m just an average kid from an ordinary noble family. Everything I know, I heard from my friend. His family knows some things. If it weren’t for the fact we’re all classmates in the Xingguang, I wouldn’t have said anything,” Ink said.
