Chapter 1288 The Seven Primordials
In an area outside of all known space and time, deep in the Nothingness, there was a gigantic gray castle that appeared incredibly ancient, not because of its condition which still appeared pristine as if it had just been completed, but because of the aura that surrounded it.
The ancientness of this castle was not far from the truth because this castle was called Algorth and was known as the first fortification to ever be built in existence.
It was collectively built by Primordials and was said it was among the few things in existence where the power of multiple Primordials went into their creation.
This castle was not beautiful, it was ruggedly built, its angles and proportions were not entirely correct, and it had no embellishment, all it had going for it was the endless strength it exuded, that practically screamed its invulnerability. Like the Primordials, Algorth was indestructible, and yet, this mighty castle had been abandoned.
This was not a general truth that was known in this present Era for it had been practically eliminated from all records, but there was a time when Primordials- although considered the most powerful beings to ever exist since the dawn of existence-did not have an overwhelming control over reality and despite their overwhelming strength, they were greatly outnumbered and in order to survive, the Primordials had to work together. Demon, Light, Time, Chaos, Memory, Soul, and Life. Seven of the most powerful entities to have ever existed, banding together, just to survive.
In the previous altercation with the rest of reality, quantity had won over quality and the Primordials had to retreat to a safe haven where they planned to properly unleash their powers to bend reality to their will. It was a rare thing for them when the smallest exertion of power could solve any of their problems, and so they had to learn to use their powers in ways they had never imagined they would.
Algorth became one of their first combined creations, and despite its flawed nature due to the first time the Primordials were collectively creating something, it was still a product of supreme power.
The Primordials may be supremely powerful, but without a good plan, they may have fallen, and Algorth, built from the flesh, blood, and bones of an unknown Primordial Entity became their refuge.
Algorth held against the bombardment of countless Primordial creatures who were baying for the blood of the Primordials. All of reality at that time understood that this was the only chance to stop the Primordials before they came into their full strength, each of them was already considered invincible, but with every Primordial working together, it became a disaster. There was also a great undertone of greed, for they all knew who had received the majority of the Primordial Essence in reality. A single Primordial was a source of near-endless power.
However, this gathering was too late, for as long as this castle was fueled by Primordial Essence, it was impregnable, and the Primordials paid a heavy price, in Essence to keep it that way as they struggled within it to understand the reaches of their powers, unlocking their omnipotence and omniscience within its walls and much more potent abilities alongside those.
Maybe if the price paid in Primordial Essence were a little less, what took place during the Primordial Era after the Primordials had won the war might have been a bit more humane, and the Primordials might have never taken the extreme steps of butchering every creature that had any bit of Primordial Essence within them and shackling the rest under harsh conditions.
The fact was that the Primordials were besieged inside Algorth for many Minor Eras, and when they left its walls, the Primordial Essence they had spent was incalculable, their enemies had been desperate to bring them down, and they had not pulled out any stops.
When the Primordials left Algorth, the slaughter that they unleashed on reality was matchless from the beginning of existence, and likely to its end.
Algorth, once a sign of the salvation of the Primordials was discarded into this place where nothing existed, and this castle had remained here for countless Eras until it was found, and it became the headquarters of Prism.
Prism had only one goal; to claim this Supreme Era and all other successive Eras that followed it.
The members of Prism kept their identity away from the rest of reality, but what was known about them was that they were all members of Primordial domains, and they were extremely powerful, because to become one of the lowest order members of Prism, it was required that the individual must be a fifth dimensional immortal and to have the bloodline of a Primordial.
Algorth, although abandoned by the Primordials, still possessed extremely powerful enchantments that forbade anyone who was not of a Primordial bloodline from entering it.
All members of Prism, being extremely powerful and all possessing Primordial Bloodlines meant that Prism became one of reality's most powerful organizations in existence, and so their appetites were not small.
The castle was massive from the outside, but that was not the full picture of what it contained on the inside which was an endless dimension, so massive was this dimension that the members of Prism who inhabited it, including those at the highest echelons, did not even understand its entire breadth or a fraction of the multiple secrets it contained.
The dimension inside this castle was dead and yet it was filled with the essence of life that was so potent that it would make an average immortal explode in body and soul after taking a single breath here.
Even after abandoning Algorth, the effect of the powers of the Primordials and their presence for so long within it never left the castle. So much Primordial Essence had been spent behind these walls that even when there was no more Essence left inside of it, what remained was a life force that staggered the imagination, and yet because of how impossibly dense this life force was, no life could be born here without turning to ash.
This inevitably made this castle a cultivation heaven for higher dimensional immortals above the fifth level who cultivated their Core, and even then, they had to be extremely careful to draw only a small amount of life force from the castle.
