Chapter 1831: Green Wood Dao Body

Chapter 1831: Green Wood Dao Body

Chapter 1831: Green Wood Dao Body

The monks who claimed to be from Jade Zen Temple were housed in a courtyard at the foot of Guest Welcome Mountain. They mostly kept to themselves and seldom left the courtyard, appearing low-key and mysterious.

In contrast, the Imperial Jintian Clan disciples were incredibly active and would often go out in groups to tour the busy streets.

However, no one saw the famous Jintian Xuanyue.

It was said that after boarding the ship, she immediately secluded herself in her courtyard to cultivate with only an elderly servant stationed outside to stop anyone from approaching.

Gurgle~

In Lin Xun’s and Liu Qingyan’s courtyard, the Galaxy Restriction Array activated with a surge of restriction power and isolated the courtyard from the outside world.

In the courtyard, Lin Xun took a deep breath and radiant green dao light rushed out around him.

Dong! Dong! Dong!

At his liver divine palace, the green wood spirit embryo began to beat like a drum as viscous and almost material life energy erupted from it like a volcano. Faint dao sounds echoed as if the ancient sages were reading the scriptures.

This continued for four whole hours.

Toward the end, a primal-chaos-like noise rang out as green light suddenly spurted out above Lin Xun.

The green light fell like rain and gathered together to form a green figure. It had a crystalline appearance that looked as if it was made from the purest green glass as dao light sprinkled from it.

As the light gradually faded, the figure gently landed on the ground.

Dressed in green clothes, his black hair fluttered around his handsome face. He stood tall and straight as an extraordinary aura spread from him.

Upon closer inspection, one would realize that the figure looked exactly the same as Lin Xun, the only difference being its pure and vigorous green wood aura.

Green Wood Dao Body!

It was a dao clone born from the green wood embryo!

Lin Xun raised his head and looked at the Green Wood Dao Body. Their gazes interchanged for a split second as Lin Xun felt a sensation akin to the mingling of blood.

It was as if the other party was now a part of him and a thought was all it would take to move the body as if he were moving an arm or finger.

This was the Grand Dao Yellow Court Classic’s Five Flavors Stage where the spirit embryos growing in the five viscera would emerge from their shells and gain their own ‘flavors’!

At the Five Aggregate Stage, life energy was accumulated.

At the Five Colors Stage, the spirit embryos would gain their coloration.

At the Five Flavors Stage, the Green Wood Dao Body would gain its unique dao imprint!

At the Five Virtues Stage, the five dao clones would gain their own conscience and cultivation!

Presently, Lin Xun had reached the Five Flavors Stage and finally cultivated his first dao clone, the Green Wood Dao Body. However, it was merely a body without its own conscience and cultivation.

Even so, this was already more than enough for Lin Xun!

Rumble!

With a thought, his primordial spirit, will, and cultivation rushed out and fused into the Green Wood Dao Body. Meanwhile, his original body fell into a ‘sleeping state.’

“What formidable green wood power!”

Lin Xun immediately felt the many wonders of the Green Wood Dao Body as various thoughts swirled in his head.

Wood was one of the five elements that was known to specialize in life energy.

In the Grand Dao Yellow Court Classic, Senior Brother Ge Yupu noted that once the Green Wood Dao Body was created, one would feel as if one’s body became the eternal green sky and wield the power of growth, decay, life, and death!

Lin Xun silently immersed himself in the new sensations for a long time before he suddenly snapped his fingers.

Lotuses immediately sprouted from the ground around him. They overflowed with vitality and gently swayed as mystical dao runes swirled around their stalks and leaves.

Abundant and concentrated green wood aura immediately permeated the air.

With a thought from Lin Xun, the thousands of lotuses instantly withered as if their vitality had been forcefully plundered and soon turned to dust.

This was the Green Wood Dao Body’s power of growth, decay, life, and death!

If used in battle, one could plunder an enemy’s surrounding life energy and reap their life!

Likewise, it could also be used to regrow flesh and bone to save another.

The most wonderful part, however, was that the Green Wood Dao Body’s natural talents and abilities could be perfectly employed through Lin Xun’s cultivation!

“The Green Wood Dao Body is like having another body. However, it’s a body with unique and amazing natural-born abilities…”

Lin Xun’s eyes shone brightly as he inwardly sighed in amazement. Ninth Senior Brother Ge Yupu’s Grand Dao Yellow Court Classic was simply unparalleled and beyond imagination!

If the first Green Wood Dao Body already possessed such incredible powers, wouldn’t he possess four more different powers once the remaining four dao clones were cultivated?

How strong would these five dao clones grow once he reached the Five Virtues Stage and they gained their own conscience and cultivation?

After some time, Lin Xun dissipated the Galaxy Restriction Array.

Liu Qingyan coincidentally walked out of the room at this moment and puzzledly remarked, “Elder, why do I feel as if you’ve become a different person?”

Lin Xun had made efforts to conceal the disturbance earlier, which was why Liu Qingyan hadn’t noticed anything despite also being in the courtyard.

Lin Xun smiled and told her, “I had a small cultivation breakthrough.”

He had already kept his main body and was inhibiting the Green Wood Dao Body.

However, ordinary people wouldn’t be able to accurately discern the changes.

“I see.”

Liu Qingyan appeared to accept his reason. However, she still looked at Lin Xun in a slightly bewildered manner. Could a cultivation breakthrough really cause such a distinct change in a person’s presence?

……

Meanwhile, at the foot of Guest Welcome Mountain.

In a certain courtyard, a silently meditating young monk holding prayer beads suddenly frowned.

“Eh?”

His heart rippled wildly as he opened his eyes. “Why did that heretic's presence suddenly disappear?”

He rose to his feet and walked out of the room.

Outside, a group of bare-footed monks with wide straw hats and simple clothes were meditating on their respective prayer mats. Each of them gave off silent presences that felt as deep as the sea.

Upon seeing the young monk, however, they rose to their feet and respectfully nodded.

“Greetings Zen Master Wuming.”

Their expressions were filled with heart-felt devotion.

There were numerous Netherworld Ferrymen and Netherworld Arhats in Earth Treasury Realm, but only nine Netherworld Zen Masters!

Wuming was one of them.

Netherworld Zen Masters were the core disciples who inherited Earth Treasury Realm’s supreme inheritance. Each of them possessed unmatched status, supreme Saint-King cultivation, and unfathomable foundations.

In fact, even some old monsters would show great respect to these Netherworld Zen Masters!

Wuming nodded and walked out of the courtyard.

A thin elderly monk was seated outside. He was unremarkable and appeared to have no presence at all.

Despite this, Wuming respectfully bowed and said, “Teacher-Uncle Dukong, something happened. My Samsara Prayer Beads can no longer sense the heretic’s aura.”

The Samsara Prayer Beads were an incredible treasure.

When the prayer beads were paired with a secret art, they could detect the auras of any heretic targeted by the Earth Treasury Realm no matter where they were.

The thin old monk called Dukong opened his eyes. A glimmer of brilliance rose within his cloudy eyes as he said, “When we arrived, we’ve already ascertained that the heretic is on the ship. Since then, I’ve not noticed anyone leaving the ship.”

Wuming thoughtfully said, “In other words, the heretic has likely realized our presence and used some kind of secret art to conceal his aura and block the Samsara Prayer Beads’ detection.”

Dukong nodded. “Wuming, do not be careless. Don’t forget that after locating the heretic’s aura, Buddha Master Lianshan and a dozen Netherworld Arhats were ultimately killed outside the Great Yu World.”

Buddha Master Lianshan was an Emperor expert of Earth Treasury Realm!

Wuming was naturally aware of this. It was said that Buddha Master Lianshan was killed by a pink flying sword.

It was an incident that caused huge waves in Earth Treasury Realm.

“This tells us that there must be a master protecting that heretic. The sect dispatched me to be your protector and to investigate the cause of Buddha Master Lianshan’s death.”

Dukong croaked, “Yet, I’ve yet to sense any unusual auras. I can only faintly tell that there are at least two Emperors on this ship!

“One of them is likely an old monster from the Imperial Jintian Clan who is stationed outside the courtyard belonging to the girl called Jintian Xuanyue.

“The other is also on Guest Welcome Mountain. She’s an old woman who changed her appearance and is accompanying a youngster.

“Including me, there are three Emperors in total. However, I’m not certain if there are others who have specially concealed themselves.”

Upon hearing this, Wuming’s heart shivered and he said, “Teacher-Uncle, could they also be here due to the heretic?”

Just as Dukong was about to reply, an old woman suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

She ignored Wukong, looked at Dukong and indifferently said, “I don’t care what your Earth Treasury Realm is here to do and I’m not interested in finding out. I’m here to tell you that although I can’t be bothered with your affairs, anyone who dares to scheme against my Young Master shouldn’t blame me for the consequences.”

It was a forceful and fierce approach!

Dukong was silent for a moment before he replied, “It shall be so.”

The old woman icily snorted and disappeared.

She had arrived and left in the blink of an eye.

Iciness rose in Wuming’s eyes. “Teacher-Uncle, was that old woman…one of the Emperors you were referring to?”

Dukong nodded as cryptic black Buddha light surged in his cloudy eyes. “This is fine. At the very least, it proves that the heretic has no relation to them.”

Wuming frowned as his heart began to churn. An Emperor protecting a ‘Young Master’?

What is this Young Master’s identity?

It was a frightening thought.

Dukong suddenly sighed and said in a low voice, “To think that there would be such dragons and tigers hidden on this ship. Wuming, I cannot recklessly move before we track down the heretic. You guys have to find him yourselves.”

A cloudy look arose on Wuming’s face. He didn’t expect such troubles even with Teacher-Uncle Dukong here.
