Chapter 1832: Yu Xuan, Just You Wait

In addition to the old woman, the Imperial Jintian Clan’s Emperor expert was also on board. Hence, Dukong felt he should act with prudence.

Before they properly investigated the situation, any suspicious actions would only make his ‘peers’ more wary and might produce unknown variables.

Most importantly, if they discovered the heretic’s identity…a huge storm would follow!

After all, the heretic was in possession of a supreme blessing from the Kunlun Dominion that was related to the secret of becoming an Emperor and Ancestor!

……

Roughly halfway up Guest Welcome Mountain, an elegant courtyard next to a spring was hidden amidst the bamboo.

A robed elder was drinking from his wine jar in front of the courtyard.

A group of well-dressed and good-looking Imperial Jintian Clan disciples with extraordinary auras stood beside him.

In the eyes of an outsider, they were akin to stars in the sky that one could only look up to.

At the moment, however, these talented youths were displaying respectful attitudes, not daring to even breathe too loudly. There was no trace of their usual arrogance.

It was because the robed elder was their ancestor and an Emperor who had lived for countless years!

He was a famous bigwig in White Emperor Star Field and even the Ancient Nebula Road.

Named Jintian Hong, he was also known to the world as Sword Emperor Brave Gale

“This isn’t Jintian Great World nor White Emperor Star Field. You lot best restrain yourselves and not cause trouble.”

The robed elder casually continued, “I know full well what you little ones are like. It will probably be your fault if you’re killed so I won’t care even if all of you die.

“However, you still bear the surname Jintian and the blood of the Jintian Clan flows within you. If you lot die, I can avenge you but don’t even dream that I’ll save you.”

His blunt message was spoken with a heartless and indifferent tone.

The group looked at each other.

One of them couldn’t help but ask, “Old Ancestor, how can there be someone we can’t afford to offend in a mere Whirlwind Ship?”

The robed elder glanced at the speaker, causing him to pale, sweat profusely, and nearly fall to his knees.

The robed elder withdrew his gaze, took another swing from his jar, and said, “Our Jintian Clan is growing worse and worse each generation because we have too many wastrels like you lot.”

At this point, he chuckled and said, “Fortunately, the heavens have blessed us with a great talent like Xuanyue this generation.”

His voice was filled with relief.

The group of disciples couldn’t help but feel jealous.

Jintian Xuanyue!

She was a peer who they both envied and feared. She was a lady blessed by the heavens who had cultivated for a hundred and eighty years and was ranked 49th on the All Heavens Saint-King Rankings!

Even some of the older generation in the clan could only lower their heads before her presence and sigh in inferiority.

“Go then but remember my words. You can cause trouble, but you can only blame yourselves for being killed. All I can do is take revenge for you lot after it’s done.”

The robed elder dismissed the group with a wave of his hand.

The Jintian Clan's younger generation weren’t actually wastrels. In fact, several of them had already reached the Supreme Saint-King Stage.

However, they were extremely lacking in the character department. They were arrogant, bossy, frivolous, and capable of all sorts of evil acts.

With regard to this, the robed elder felt nothing but disdain and disgust.

Only Jintian Xuanyue and a handful of others were passable in his eyes.

This was why he was personally accompanying the group on their trip to the Great Primordial Chaos World to participate in the gathering organized by the Great Six Courts.

“Earth Treasury Realm and that old woman…it seems that this tiny ship is not simple at all…”

The robed elder continued to drink as he lost himself in his thoughts.

……

The Heavenly Sound Pavilion main hall.

There was a rare look of graveness on Liang Chuan’s face.

He gazed at the Heavenly Sound Pavilion higher-ups in the hall and solemnly said, “It is our Heavenly Sound Pavilion’s honor to have the Imperial Jintian Clan as passengers on our ship. However, this also places us under tremendous pressure. From today, Heavenly Sound Pavilion will do its best to fulfill any requests they have. No negligence will be tolerated!

“Do you understand?”

The crowd in the hall nodded.

With the deaths of the Primordial Dao Court experts still unresolved, how could they dare to offend a behemoth like the Imperial Jintian Clan?

Upon seeing this, Liang Chuan inwardly breathed a sigh of relief.

He was stressed by the many incidents that had occurred on the journey to the Great Primordial Chaos World.

The Imperial Jintian Clan, the old woman accompanying the youngster, Little Nine, and the Primordial Dao Court experts’ deaths felt like heavy mountains crushing Liang Chuan’s heart.

Even a quasi-Emperor like him couldn’t help but feel a sense of trepidation.

He inwardly sighed, “The more matters there are the more troubles that follow…”

……

In a certain courtyard, an old woman smiled and said, “Young Master, weren’t you feeling bored? With the Earth Treasury Realm and Imperial Jintian Clan now on board, things will certainly start to stir soon.”

The hemp-clothed youth, who was listlessly lying in his rocking chair, suddenly jumped to his feet. His eyes glowed as he excitedly clamored, “Earth Treasury Realm? Aren’t they one of the Three Dark Giants? I’ve long heard of their mysterious ways and merciless methods. I wonder how true the rumors about them are.”

His spittle flew everywhere as he gleefully rubbed his palms together. “Not to mention the Imperial Jintian Clan. Heh, they’re descendants of the mighty Emperor Bai. I’ve long wanted to test if their ancestral inheritance, the Chaos Sword Whirlwind Scripture, is as formidable as people make it out to be.”

The old woman’s smile immediately stiffened. She hurriedly said, “Young Master, I’m fine if you watch, but I won’t agree to your participation.”

Her words extinguished the hemp-clothed youth’s energy like a bucket of ice water, causing him to lie in his rocking chair like a lifeless fish.

He sighed and said, “How can I accomplish anything if I do not temper myself… Granny, can’t you pity me and give me just one chance?”

However, the old woman refused to budge no matter how he begged.

In the end, the hemp-clothed youth could only clutch his head in agony, powerless to change his situation.

……

“Miss Qingyan, the atmosphere tonight seems to be rather strange. I’m worried that trouble will come knocking.”

Lin Xun strongly suspected that the Earth Treasury Realm disciples were here for him and thus felt he should warn Liu Qingyan.

Liu Qingyan’s limpid eyes widened. “Trouble?”

Lin Xun nodded. “Yes. However, it’s just a feeling. Although I can’t say for certain that something will happen, you’d best prepare yourself.”

Liu Qingyan softly grunted in acknowledgment.

Neither Lin Xun nor Liu Qingyan could have anticipated that trouble would come knocking that very night.

At night, Heavenly Sound Pavilion's supreme Saint-King, Yu Jun, personally visited them.

“Qingyan, our noble guests from the Imperial Jintian Clan have heard of your talent in music and they have invited you to Yuncui Pavilion.”

His words made Lin Xun and Liu Qingyan frown.

How could the Imperial Jintian Clan have possibly heard of her? Someone must have intentionally brought her up to incite their interest.

“Apologies. Miss Qingyan is in secluded cultivation and does not plan to leave the courtyard any time soon.”

Lin Xun immediately rejected the invitation.

Yu Jun’s expression darkened. “Yu Xuan, you’re just a bodyguard. What right do you have to decide for a member of my Heavenly Sound Pavilion?”

Lin Xun remained unyielding. “Miss Qingyan said that my will is her will.”

A murderous look flowed out in Yu Jun’s eyes. “Yu Xuan, you must be tired of living. I’m not afraid to tell you that if Qingyan doesn’t go to Yuncui Pavilion, even if I kill you, Grand Elder Liang Chuan will turn a blind eye!”

Liu Qingyan walked out of the room and said, “Teacher-Uncle, if you continue to push the issue, I’ll immediately die for you to see!”

Yu Jun stiffened. If Liu Qingyan was dead, how would they explain things to Primordial Dao Court’s Kong Yu?

He hurriedly said, “Qingyan, we have no hidden motive behind this invitation. Our Heavenly Sound Pavilion can’t afford to offend the Imperial Jintian Clan guests and even Grand Elder Liang Chuan has said we must do our best to fulfill their requests.”

Liu Qingyan revealed a disgusted expression. “So you’re forcing me to meet them at Yuncui Pavilion to avoid offending them?”

Yu Jun sighed. “Qingyan, because of you, the Primordial Dao Court experts met with misfortune, implicating our Heavenly Sound Pavilion. If we offend the Imperial Jintian Clan because of you again, the consequences…will be so grave that even your master, Zhuang Yunzhi, won’t be able to bear them!”

Liu Qingyan’s expression changed indeterminately. She didn’t care about the others but she was deeply concerned about her master, Zhuang Yunzhi.

Lin Xun firmly said, “Miss Qingyan, listen to me. An incident will definitely occur if you go. It will be better to stay.”

“Yu Xuan, you’re asking to die!”

Yu Jun lost his temper. He was already pissed at Lin Xun from before due to the Zhan Bin incident.

As such, Lin Xun’s repeated obstruction made Yu Jun’s anger explode.

How dare a mere Saint-King from the Imperial Yu Clan oppose me! He must be tired of living!

Just as Yu Jun was about to take action, Lin Xun activated the Galaxy Restriction Array, causing the former to be stuck outside.

Yu Jun's angry roars soon sounded outside the courtyard, “Yu Xuan! Deactivate the array now or I’ll rip you into a million pieces and burn even your bones to ashes!”

He was furious. Whirlwind Ship was their Heavenly Sound Pavilion’s territory, yet a mere Saint-King from the Imperial Yu Clan dared to oppose him in this manner!

Lin Xun ignored everything. He leisurely sat down under the tree and began drinking from his gourd.

“Yu Xuan, just you wait!”

With these final words, Yu Jun left in a huff.

Only then did Lin Xun look at Liu Qingyan and asked, “Miss Qingyan, are you scared?”

Liu Qingyan shook her head. “I’m…worried about my Master.”

Lin Xun said, “Don’t worry, your master is a supreme Saint-King so Heavenly Sound Pavilion won’t dare to go overboard against her. We, on the other hand…”

Liu Qingyan’s heart tightened. “Elder, I’m afraid that I’ve implicated you again. What should we do?”

Her voice was filled with worry.

Lin Xun chuckled, appearing unconcerned.

Now that he had the Green Wood Dao Body, he wasn’t afraid to reveal some of his power if trouble arose!
