Chapter 2900 Back on the Continent
Two months after Minos' group settled in the capital of Uzira, Mylecent reappeared on the continent, back in Uzira, near the Awakening Peak.
Along with her, the group of individuals who had been at her side previously, but also those sent by Ysolt, were moving along with her towards the kingdom's capital.
Their expressions were satisfied, but with palpable moderation in their eyes. Mylecent had succeeded in his advance to level 126, but they had also found out about. Eternal Death's plans and current status before returning at Minos' call.
Eternal Death was on the verge of reaching level 127 and if it hadn't been for the unfavorable position for them to reach, they wouldn't have returned before attempting to assassinate such an expert.
But as Eternal Death was in the middle of the turmoil of the war for Abby's former domains, Mylecent's group decided to return and reunite with Minos and the rest of his people.
So, as she made her way to the kingdom's capital to take the position she had long coveted, Mylecent was in a double mood, thinking of the positive side of reuniting with Minos and the others, but also of the problems still on their way.
Now it was time for them to prepare to face a level 127 True Celestial!
The journey to the capital was a quick one for Mylecent's group. At the start of another local afternoon for this city getting used to its new reality, their group came to a halt when they spotted the core of the city from their position in the sky. Where the seat of the royal family used to be was now a large construction site, with various workers at work while royal guards were stationed here and there.
They all sensed the auras of the powerful members of the Stuart family and kept their doubts to themselves. Moving forward to land in the vicinity of the reconstruction area, they soon felt the people they were interested in moving as well when they saw them coming.
Mylecent saw Minos and the man's wives leaving a temporary tent and smiled, seeing this tall, strong man at the peak of level 123, his appearance even more beautiful than the last time she had seen him.
"Minos..." She murmured as she molded a beautiful smile on her lips, ignoring his women, but also her psychic friend.
"Did you destroy the royal palace?" She asked with an amused tone. "You know, as much as we're rebels, we didn't want to destroy that palace"
"Too late now." He grinned at her. "It's already happened and there's no going back."
"That's what I see." She smiled as she sighed and looked at the place that had grown, but was now unrecognizable. "Anyway, thanks for dealing with the enemies. It looks like you ended the war single-handedly...
"Almost." Minos didn't shirk responsibility. Mylecent and the rebels had certainly done a lot over the last few years. But nothing compared to the murder of Celestials, something that only he had done.
After Minos killed the two Celestials who were watching over the continent for Eternal Death, practically all the survivors of the family surrendered, swearing loyalty and obedience to Minos.
Now Uzira's grandiose surveillance and enforcement machine was in Minos' hands, obeying the rebels merely because he had told them to obey such a group.
"Changing the subject," Abby said, breaking their reunion dialog. "What about Eternal Death? You must have heard from her, right?"
Mylecent looked at Abby, remembering what had happened earlier, and couldn't help smiling as she imagined what this group had achieved to fool all of the Hell.
But she kept the things she wanted to ask them to herself and said, "Yes, she's in the Hell. She is seeking her advancement to level 127. We have tried to stop her and hinder her progress several times, but in the midst of our own opportunities, she has reached a position that is difficult to reach. Now I fear she will progress and come back stronger than ever to deal with us and truly end the war!"
"Level 127?" Ruth narrowed her eyes, not liking that at all.
"That's a bit beyond what we considered." Gloria murmured quietly, aware that this would be enough to force them to fight with everything they had and still take some risks.
Mylecent didn't know the same as this group, but she judged that, however strong Minos must be by now, this would definitely be a big challenge for them.
"I hope you can repeat your victory and confirm the end of the war soon, Minos. I fear it will come to us soon." Mylecent sighed, speaking in a serious tone that even made her sound a little strange, unlike her confident and playful self.
Minos stared in silence at this level 126 Devil with long white hair. As everyone watched him, he took a deep breath, feeling some difficulty in sensing the future of Eternal Death, who was still in the Hell and therefore making it difficult for him to analyze.
"We're going to win, no matter what." He was confident in himself, not seeing how Eternal Death would be a challenge for him at this stage of his journey. "When she returns, we'll deal with her in the appropriate way. For now, let's prepare for Uzira's future. Mylecent, from now on, you are the new queen and leader of the royal family. As the center of power in Uzira and Zocarro, there are things I expect you to do on your journey."
She became more serious, ignoring the men of the royal family kneeling in the surroundings and calling out her position and name, focused only on two people. The man who had promised her and the person who had made that promise-who seemed increasingly distant and out of touch with reality.
Ysolt saw her friend and leader's gaze fall on her, but said nothing. She just watched as Minos fashioned a new crown for the kingdom, an essence of darkness and silver flames that fused with Mylecent, ending the simple coronation ritual he had
performed.
After this brief ritual, Mylecent greeted Minos' wives before they entered one of the command tents in the construction area to discuss the details.
Before anything else, however, Minos murmured something to her. "As soon as we've dealt with Eternal Death, my group will leave. The details of our departure are not important. What I want you to know is that there is something I need you to do in Hell. After you stabilize Uzira and return to the Hell, look for someone called Vicente
Fuller."
"Vicente Fuller? A Devil?"
"Yes, you could say that." Minos agreed and added, "He's someone I left with a mission.
If necessary, help him. And if he falls, you must take over the domains he leaves.
She narrowed her eyes, not understanding what Minos was getting at.
"Just do it. When the time comes, I'll reward you with whatever you want." He looked at her with a smile that said much more than his words.
