Chapter 2902 Fight of Level 127 True Celestials I
Faced with the horde of Eternal Death coming from the Hell to terrorize the local forces, Minos and his women acted simultaneously as their cultivations rose.
Abby reached level 125 and was the main one to revive the local dead to join their side in the confrontation that was about to begin, but Gloria, Ruth and Minos took part in their first move, showing their proficiency in necromancy to the alliance and their enemies.
Almost instantly upon her return to the kingdom's capital, Eternal Death spotted the trouble there to challenge her, turning her eyes to where Mylecent stood with Minos and his three wives building the local defense army.
Her eyes narrowed as she noticed the condition of Minos in particular, who looked the least like a Supreme, even though he was clearly using something unusual to show himself as Celestial. His and his wives' powers showed a deep connection to the Hell, even though they clearly didn't have Hellish Crowns on them.
"These people... Eternal Death didn't identify them from this alone, but she sensed that they weren't simple and were probably behind how Mylecent had gotten a Hell Crown. She raised her weapon in the air and emitted a single scream, enough for the Hell creatures around her to attack with everything against everyone in the vicinity, not even sparing those who were in charge of Eternal Death the last time she was in this city.
She ordered an indiscriminate massacre, smiling as she heard the sound of destruction, of buildings cracking, blows piercing the air and hitting people and inanimate objects, bringing chaos, screams and a myriad of bad feelings to the city. The rebels' allied horde counterattacked in smaller numbers, but not so different strength, giving the space for the strongest of the group to move together against Eternal Death and his strongest allies; from stage 13.
Minos silently arranged for his wives to move with Mylecent and Ysolt, while he advanced, already fully in his dragon form, against Eternal Death.
Eternal Death held her giant scythe in the air with one hand, looking through a dark vcil at Minos-the six-winged dragon-flying at her. She felt that, however much his level was lower than hers, even though he used some strange method to be stronger than he normally was, his cultivation base wasn't that different from hers in qualitative and quantitative terms.
Feeling that, at least temporarily, Minos should be as strong as a level 127 True Celestial like her, Eternal Death treated him seriously. Moving her weapon, she fired at the great dragon, moving her forces into an attack so powerful that the mere spiritual pressure of her movement knocked out those in its path, spreading an oppressive aura of darkness across the outskirts of the city.
Civilians already in hiding or starting to move to protect themselves from the fight at its start felt. Eternal Death's aura of terror. Many didn't stand a chance and fell with their eyes wide open to the ground, their mouths foaming as their bodies convulsed briefly before stopping motionless.
But not only the aura of someone like Eternal Death could cause adverse effects on combatants and ordinary civilians in the vicinity. Minos' aura was just as bad as hers, being differentiated by not being a wave of corrosive darkness, but a tremendous pressure capable of altering the surrounding gravity.
Minos' wings flapped loudly, sending gusts of wind throughout the area, in itself capable of counteracting the movements of the undead and the Hell guardians in the midst of the fighting there. He opened his mouth and launched silver flames from his mouth, spitting them at Eternal Death while simultaneously using his other powers. Eternal Death frowned after slashing against the position where Minos stood, watching him disappear from where she thought she saw him, before she realized he was behind her, much closer to reaching her, Meanwhile, the flames he spat out continued to come at her, making her feel drops of sweat trickle down her skin as she expressed her dissatisfaction with a grimace.
Noticing the golden hourglass nearby, Eternal Death understood very well what Minos had done. But there was no time to think about it and she merely raised her arms defensively against the onslaught of dragon claws threatening to break her into several pieces.
She managed to move her scythe in time to use the weapon's blade to counterattack, managing to minimally prepare for Minos' onslaught in the last instant before contact. Then, a few meters above the surface of the city, Eternal Death's scythe and the claws of one of Minos's legs collided, creating sparks as big as some of the buildings in the area, while a crashing sound made warriors on both sides of the fight lose their focus. Hundreds of mid-level and low-level Supremes fell unconscious where they stood, their ears bleeding as those without such orifices used their advantage.
Meanwhile, the ground immediately below Minos and Eternal Death sank, with the few individuals there losing their lives, crushed by the overwhelming pressure of the exchange of blows between them.
The collision didn't last long, however. After Minos' onslaught, he demonstrated his advantage of using time to surprise his opponent, managing to put Eternal Death at a disadvantage.
She felt her weapon slip out of her hands and was soon hit by Minos' front paw before being thrown diagonally downwards.
Eternal Death parted her lips as she let out a short but very high-pitched scream of pain before crashing into some of the buildings around the construction area.
A crater opened up where it had stopped, at the same time as the whole city shook from the shock of the collision. But even with the whole city feeling the effects of the combat of two such strong True Celestials, she merely felt as if she had been hit on the back, enough to feel pain, but not enough to immobilize her. "Wretch!" She opened her mouth in hatred as she stood up and removed the veil from her face, showing a stunning face, capable of seducing men of weak minds.
But before she could draw her scythe back to herself and attack, golden seals appeared around her, and from them cursed chains snapped against her wrists and heels.
Minos hovered in the air a few dozen meters above her, controlling the seals around her while forcing her in four different directions. "This is where you die."
With those words, Minos' eyes flashed in rainbow colors, shooting into Eternal Death's eyes, as sword-shaped blades emerged from the vacuum of space around where she stood.
