Chapter 445 Mana Cannon
Chapter 445 Mana Cannon
?
As time passed, the swords began to descend, slowly at first, as if gravity itself were reluctant to pull them down. But their descent gained momentum, and soon the air was filled with the ominous whistling sound of their approach. One by one, they plummeted toward the ground, their tips gleaming with anticipation.
Aion watched in awe as the rain of swords descended upon him, their blades glinting in the sunlight. He could feel the raw power emanating from each weapon, a manifestation of concentrated mana and formidable magic. It was a sight both mesmerizing and terrifying, knowing that each sword held the potential to rend flesh and shatter bone.
As the mana swords descended from the sky, they crashed into the ground with an explosive force. Upon impact, a powerful shockwave rippled through the earth, causing the very foundation to shudder. The moment the swords made contact, a cascade of devastation ensued.
Wherever the blades struck, the ground quaked and fractured as if unable to withstand the sheer intensity of their power. The earth crumbled beneath their weight, crumbling into fine particles resembling swirling dust. It was as if the swords possessed an inherent corrosive nature, obliterating anything they touched with relentless efficiency.
Structures that once stood tall and proud were reduced to rubble in an instant. Solid stone and sturdy foundations dissolved into nothingness, disintegrating into a haze of particles that danced in the air. The destructive force of the swords seemed almost supernatural as if they possessed a malevolent intent to consume and eradicate all in their path.
When the dust dissipated again, Vangel saw Aion standing. He still was deeply wounded, even more than before, but he still looked pretty lively.
"From whom you copied this kind of attack?" Aion asked while pulling the parts of his shit that were too damaged. "This was a very nasty attack. The creator of the spell had a pretty bad personality."
Vangel clenched his teeth and then covered his whole body with the effects of time magic. He flew and reached Aion instantly, but as soon as his sword approached to behead him, Aion suddenly moved his sword and then blocked the strike… not only was his speed shocking, but he also wasn't pushed backward like before by the weight… he was doing something again.
"Do you want to know what I did?" Aion asked while smiling. "Here is a hint, time magic, and gravity magic."
Vangel opened his eyes widely… it made sense… Aion didn't use time magic to make himself faster; he created a barrier around himself with Time Dilation that made the effects of acceleration almost useless around him. At the same time, he used gravity magic to enhance his posture by making himself heavier, probably in the last moment of the impact. Vangel also could imagine Aion using the same effect to make sure that gravity would help him as well instead of just making him heavier.
The surprises didn't end there, though. When Aion prepared to swing down his sword, Vangel jumped backward. Still, then he felt something weird… his upper body suddenly began to be pulled upward. His lower body began to be pulled downward. His jump made him feel like he was splitting himself in two…
Amidst his panic, Vangel used his magic to fix his gravitational field, but that gave Aion enough time to expand his sword, swing down and increase its weight even further with gravity magic.
A seismic shockwave rippled through the kingdom as Aion's sword descended upon Vangel with incredible force. The ground beneath their feet quaked and trembled, echoing the sheer power behind the strike. The impact was nothing short of cataclysmic, threatening to shatter the very foundation of the realm.
Vangel's body, unable to withstand the overwhelming force of the blow, was sent hurtling backward, his form contorted and strained. The impact reverberated through his being, threatening to reduce him to a mere pulp. Bones cracked, and flesh yielded under the immense pressure as if on the verge of complete annihilation.
The surrounding air seemed to hold its breath, carrying an almost tangible tension. The kingdom itself quivered under the weight of the strike, its walls and structures echoing the tremors coursing through its foundations. It was as if the very essence of the realm recognized the magnitude of the clash, reacting with fear and trepidation.
Vangel began to cough blood, but even that returned to his body when he used Time Reversal. It was weird that he didn't lose the memories of those things alongside the wounds disappearing… maybe he could control that. Regardless, thanks to it, he could see Aion looking at him. Vangel felt pissed like never before by being on the ground while Aion was standing.
Aion had better things to do than taunt him as well, so he used his mana and senses to check for any disturbances around. He could feel a large concentration of mana in a large area… it was the same kind of feeling his pocket dimension emitted.
"They are in his pocket dimension; I just have to find a way to enter without his permission," Aion thought. "Easier said than done."
Aion recalled one of the skills that he had studied when he learned that class, and it would help him with that, but it would take a while for him to make it level up. Without any choice, he stopped using the mana of the souls and made them be absorbed by his class.
Vangel got up and then bit his lips in annoyance, and then made his clones be absorbed by his sword. His power increased even more than before… in the next moment, he pointed both of his arms toward Aion. He was wide open, but before Aion could do anything… he attacked with a mana cannon.
A deafening roar shattered the air as a colossal Mana Cannon, fueled by an immense reservoir of power, unleashed its devastating might. The cannon's energy surged forth like a blazing inferno, gathering in a concentrated beam that pierced through the heavens. With a blinding flash, the beam was unleashed, hurtling toward Aion with incredible velocity.
