Chapter 292 Warning (2)
Chapter 292 Warning (2)
"Well, now, since I am attacking, the strategies that I can deploy are limited," Jake thought while he watched the monsters in the distance. "What should I do to deal with them as fast as possible?"
The salamanders were more balanced, and since they and the wolves were from the ice attribute, Jake couldn't rely much on magic to make things easier for him. At least not directly… with that in mind, he created another tower and then made the wolves create numerous ice spears. They also reinforced them with Ice Breath, and their size increased quite a bit. Despite the size of the tower that was only five hundred meters away from their base, the salamanders ignored Jake.
"You guys are going to regret that," Jake said while smirking.
After grabbing the ice spears, Jake felt that his fingers wouldn't last for long if he kept touching them directly. In the end, he had to use the shop and buy some leather gloves… to make them as heavy as possible. The spears were also cold as they could be, and considering that they were five meters long now, they had all that in spades…
In any case, Jake activated Concentrated Strike, and then when he felt his bones cracking, he added the power of his dark flames and then used Throw. While making a powerful high pitching sound, the projectile flew insanely fast toward the entrance of the dungeon. The frozen salamanders didn't even have the chance to dodge… Regardless, the impact caused made a crater appear, the area trembled, and the dark flames spread around and also burned to death a few dozen enemies.

The impact also made some monsters fly to the side, and that destroyed their formation. At the same time, Jake had already equipped the next spear and prepared to throw it.
"I should look for an enemy that has this skill and then make it level up insanely fast," Jake thought. "Still, there are other ways to increase this thing's power…"
Jake used Thor's Blessing alongside Hot Blood and Rage. Thanks to that, he felt his right hand hurting a lot sooner than expected, and then he launched the second gift to the salamanders.
Jake caused more havoc among the monsters' ranks, but at that point in time, they knew where the attacks came from and began to dash at him. To slow down their charge, the crystal wolves began to fire ice spears toward them. The salamanders used their own crystal spears, so things went as Jake had predicted. Numerous ice shards fell on the ground and began to hurt the monsters that tried to pass through those areas.
Despite that, it didn't take long for the salamanders to reach the crystal wolves, mainly those that jumped over the body of those that had stopped due to the ice shards on the ground. Still, before they could do anything, Jake jumped from the tower, and when he landed, he hit the ground smashing the head of one of the frozen salamanders and then using Fire Strike, Heat Wave, and Explosive Touch to raise a massive steam cloud.
Even without seeing anything, the frozen salamanders knew the direction Jake landed, so they used Ice Breath, but that only made the steam cloud become thicker, and they didn't feel anything being hit by their attacks.
Jake couldn't spend so much energy, so he only enhanced the upper side of his axe with dark flames before dashing toward the first enemy. When the enemy felt his presence, he used Flash, and he stopped moving when his weapon pierced the skull of the monster.

It didn't take long for other monsters to attack Jake, but the ice spears that they fired only collided with each other after he kicked the ground and returned to the steam cloud. Despite that, the monsters were smart enough to surround the area and then use ice Breath on the entire thing while they ignored the attacks of the crystal wolves.
The temperature began to decrease again, but Jake had predicted that such a thing and the encirclement were going to happen. Without hesitation, he used Flash toward one of them while ignoring the Ice Breath and went for the creature's head. Once again, he killed the monster in a single strike, but he was more focused on the fact that he broke the encirclement and then began to run to attack the nearby Frozen Salamanders.
Some of the monsters managed to hit Jake with that spell, but he ignored the damage and kept attacking the heads of the monsters. In that formation, they couldn't do much aside from using that spell. They could run forward and use Ice Breath, but they couldn't run backward and do the same. That was the downside of having such bodies.

Every time that akill gained experience, the less the cold and the spells affected Jake, so his plans were working well. Still, he had a long way to go before he could completely ignore the cold.
Still, things didn't keep going like that for long. Many other frozen salamanders approached the area and surrounded Jake completely once again, and this time, their encirclement had several layers. Even if Jake uses flash and kills one or two of them extremely fast, it won't be enough to escape. To make things even more complicated, they used the same strategy that Jake used before…
Somehow, the salamanders used their Ice Breath to create a prison of ice around Jake. He was unable to approach that since, with his current level of resistance, he couldn't resist the attacks of several layers of that spell. Thanks to that, he saw himself inside an ice cylinder that was one hundred meters tall, and there wasn't a single part in the walls that he could use to grab.
