Chapter 281 - The Last Hope Of The Planet...

Chapter 281 - The Last Hope Of The Planet...

-----

As God was undergoing a battle with itself, the planet earth's Origin Core, which contained a consciousness of its own, was planning what to do.

It had to somehow destroy the many rifts that had emerged over the world…

Each rift that led to a dungeon would simply keep being open unless it were to be destroyed by defeating the Boss inside.

However, there were large uninhabited areas, so the gates that led to dungeons continued to pile up one by one within these areas.

The largest areas were, of course, the sea itself, even the depths of the ocean, there were gates with aquatic monsters rushing inside.

The sea had become a turbulent and dangerous place, where many monstrous creatures roamed and due to the hundreds of gates opened all around the sea, the sea continued to be filled with more and more deadly beasts, there were even a few dozen of SS-Rank Dungeons, and even some SSS-Rank in some areas, especially near the Antarctica, where immense aquatic dragons have been spotted by drones sent there to inspect the area. The drones were usually destroyed by these territorial dragons after a few pictures were taken and sent through the internet to their owners.

Alongside this, the large continent of Australia lacked a sector and was mostly filled with subhuman tribes surviving within these chaotic lands, who unknowingly to humanity, served a similar role than Hunters, using their monster-like powers to defeat the monsters and clean some lands, although the gates were too many even then.

However, within the dozen of tribes of subhumans of these areas, there was a certain creature, a monstrous dragon that had the power to control the sky and generate thunder and rains, worshiped as both a god that brought life and death… it seems that it also originated from an SSS-Rank Dungeon, according to the Origin Core data.

There was also the large gate that was above SSS-Rank in power, which continued to exist within central America, which was mostly uninhabited and filled with deadly monsters and subhuman tribes.

And above all, there was a large concentration of miasma within the atmosphere and the underground, the tectonic plates, and even the center of the earth, where the origin core rested.

As it was slowly being infected by miasma, the origin core started to gain more power from this substance, but was also infected by it and began to become stranger, with many of its functions failing, while the miasma, which accumulated in large quantities, began to awaken some kind of consciousness…

Truly, the Origin Core was left mostly hopeless after all such things. Especially because with each gate to a dungeon, a strange spatial weight would be exerted over the entire planet, weighing down over the planet's core and making it grow weaker…

It would have to do what it had been neglecting for some time…

At first, it had believed that it could somehow handle it by itself, but oh, how wrong it was.

The Origin Core was not even able to do anything it wanted, although it had power, it was terrible at doing "miracles" that could exert its will over the surface, unlike God who could do it easily, the Origin Core never did such a thing, so it was very inexperienced.

In fact, it used most of its powers and will through God, but now that it had suddenly gone silent, it was very hard for the origin core to make any contact with it…

The miasma in the atmosphere and the underground made everything even tiring, although the origin core found a way to gain power by absorbing miasma, the miasma was also unstable and could quite possibly bring changes to it, even warping its own perception of itself and end up being consumed by the collective consciousness of the miasma.

However, it had suddenly noticed that in just two days, a large concentration of gates had suddenly been completely suppressed, which also included a powerful gate containing an SS-Rank Dungeon which even held some power almost similar to SSS-Rank!

In just two days!

Who could have done this?!

It was a group of beings… Vampires.

And it was these beings that the Origin Core had despised for so time now, even knowing that its leader, Noah, had the potential to help it.

But the news didn't stop there, as the Origin Core had a certain connection with all the life of Earth and also could gather data of what occurred in there… it immediately noticed when Noah converted all of Sector D into Vampiric Undead! Such a frightening event would have shaken the world, but it was quickly hidden by Noah's schemes and various tricks.

He had forced all the converted to pretend to be as normal as before, so nothing really happened!

However, Noah had begun to gather enormous quantities of power bit by bit, as he connected himself with all these thousands of people he converted into Vampiric Undead…

The Origin Core was shaken, it found this both horrible and… amusing!

What was Noah?! How could he do all of this and more?! It was surely a power the Origin Core had never seen before!

But… wouldn't this go according to the Origin Core's goals? At first, it had desired to end all of humanity, but through this method, it could also control them, another thing it always desired but never had the power to do, and even if it had the power, God opposed it.

But now… if it could become an ally of Noah, wouldn't the Origin Core be able to fulfill one of its desires of controlling all humanity through this Vampiric Undead that obeyed everything Noah did?

And like this, all of humanity could work together to defeat all the dungeons and stop being such selfish beings that sheltered themselves from the danger while barely doing anything against it, leaving the planet to hold all of these burdens…

The Origin Core had to quickly swallowed its pride and admit its pathetic state… it had to ask help to this mortal, to Noah.

Who would had thought that this malicious being would become the last hope of the planet…
