Chapter 178 - Who Did You Corner Earlier?

Chapter 178 - Who Did You Corner Earlier?

She had lived for a very long time but because of her Nocru bloodline she looked not a day over twenty-five and she loved eating young grass.

The reason why she didn't go for Ji Yao was because Ji Wen gave her a stern warning plus Ji Yao was like flavourless green grass as bland as tofu. Don't get her wrong, he was a fine specimen but his personality wasn't intriguing enough.

But this tall barely legal gentleman with fine features and a slim waist was her cup of tea. He was full of vigour brimming with an infectious youthful air.

When he walked in he was like a stream train ready to mince someone to pieces. But after a split second his expression relaxed before a radiant smile appeared on his face.

This rapid change in expressions made him seem schizophrenic but she didn't mind. She liked the stubborn angst type with a lot of baggage.

Rui Fei strode in his eyes fixed on Ji Yao alone that he even failed to notice the strange lady beckoning him to sit next to her. On Ji Yao's side of the table was already Xiaoyu so it made sense he would sit next to her but when it comes to love common sense is basically non-existent. He squeezed betwixt the respectable distance between Xiaoyu and Ji Yao. The space was enough for him to sit well but his shoulders were rubbing against Ji Yao's. This was fine but if he was rubbing shoulders with Ji Yao he was also rubbing shoulders with Xiaoyu.

Ji Yao who had been secretly happy a moment ago happened to glance over in that direction. His jaw unconsciously clenched as he gazed at those touching shoulders coldly. The only way to describe his emotions would be like a tidal wave building up before crashing down hard sweeping away everything in sight.

He swallowed his emotions down attempting to prevent them from spilling over in an ugly way. But despite all of that his voice still came out cold and harsh that any normal person would be able to tell something was up. "Xiaoyu, move that side," he said with a slight tilt of his head sending her off to the other side.

She wasn't too happy about this but she couldn't disobey. After moving over to the other side you would think Rui Fei would move a little further from Ji Yao since there was now space but he didn't move. He remained plastered to Ji Yao with their knees rubbing against each other and Ji Yao didn't seem to mind.

Ai curiously looked at these two unbelieving her eyes. The day she met Ji Yao she tried to touch him but before she could lay a finger on him she was sent flying right into a stall selling chickens. She would never forget that painful experience because she got pecked by a hen in the nipple... twice.

She soon found out that other than old man Ji, his son wouldn't allow anyone to touch him. Yet now.... No, it couldn't be, right? Was he cured or...? Eager to test her theory she looked down at that slender hand moving around dishes on the table.

Ai didn't realise that Ji Yao was actually pushing away dishes that were sweet and bringing closer the meat dishes for Rui Fei. He wore a serious expression as he worked. While he was busying himself, Rui Fei had one elbow on the table with his head being supported by the same hand while staring at him.

He licked his lips before leaning in closer asking, "Who did you corner on the wall earlier?" in a whisper.

Thinking nothing of it Ji Yao casually replied, "You left for days and that's the first question you ask me?" He served a steaming bowl of rice as he said this. A grey cloud was looming over his head. He felt really bitter but didn't show it on his face.

Rui Fei put down his hand and lay it flat on the table in front of Ji Yao. Because they were so close together it appeared as though they were slightly embracing because Rui Fei's chest was brushing against Ji Yao's shoulder.

Rui Fei would have preferred to say something memorable after not seeing him for days but he couldn't help it. It was like a fiery inferno was mounting up with him threatening to blow up.

He wanted to know who that little bitch was. Only the heavens know what he would do to him when he finds him. He pursed his lips before saying, "You are not going to tell me?" his chest tightening.

Ji Yao ignored it because to him it wasn't important. He just wanted to have a lovely meal with Rui Fei lest he runs away again. "Here try this it's not sweet," he said picking up some stir-fried bean sprouts with a pair of chopsticks.

He was about to put it into the bowl of rice he dished out for Rui Fei when the Huishe cub shook his head. He wasn't a bunny so why should he be forced to eat bunny food. Unfortunately for him, Ji Yao wasn't taking no for an answer. "You can't keep eating meat only," he said trying to persuade him but his lack of experience didn't help the situation.

Rui Fei was very stubborn when it came to meat. He resolutely refused saying, "Put it in my bowl and I won't eat it." This back and forth over bean sprouts was witnessed by these two ladies with mixed reactions.

Xiaoyu was eating vinegar while Ai was trying to make sense of this unusual situation. This got a little sultry when Ji Yao suddenly changed strategies. He put the bean sprouts to Rui Fei's lips.

Unable to withstand such an unexpected attack he subconsciously opened his mouth after slight hesitation. Like a stupid fish, he took the bait. He had a mouthful of bean sprouts in exchange for being fed by Ji Yao.

With this sweet exchange coming to an end Ji Yao's attention turned to Ai whose gaze was now fixed on this fine masterpiece, Rui Fei. Ji Yao immediately noticed her strange gaze but he didn't think anything of it at first.

Pulling his sleeve back he poured out a cup of tea for Rui Fei with steady graceful motions that is until he felt something crawling on his lower back causing his movements to jerk. He knew it was Rui Fei's fingers crawling on his back but he could barely keep calm.

Without looking back he steadied his hands and continued only to pause when Rui Fei's palm pressed against his back. A tingly and itchy feeling spread all over his body as he struggled to control his breathing. Rui Fei looked so innocent you wouldn't think he was the one provoking Ji Yao.

Ji Yao caught a glimpse of Rui Fei in his peripheral view and saw that sly smile on his face. Feeling a little annoyed he stopped pouring out the tea and gave Rui Fei a half-filled cup. As though to punish him he said, "Move over there."

Rui Fei, "..."

His Yao-ge was truly spiteful.
