Chapter 2573  A Sincere Conversation With The Saintess

Lin Mu and the Saintess stared into each other's eyes for about thirty seconds before the woman broke the silence.

"So, I suppose you're done with this world now?" the Saintess asked.

Lin Mu inwardly felt relieved that she was the one to speak first, as he simply didn't know how to begin. Despite having fought hundreds of millions of foes and standing on the precipice of death countless times, he still lost his composure in front of her.

Somehow, being in front of death was still a lot more comfortable for him than being in such close proximity with the Saintess.

'Is something really wrong with me?' he couldn't help but wonder. But for now, he had the question to answer. "Yes, I think I'll head out once we clear up some things here. Probably not more than a month now," he estimated.

"Hmm… and where do you want to go after this?" the Saintess asked.

"The Silent Lotus World. There are some clues to my old technique that I think might help me in improving it. And after that, I have to help out Lady Kang with her clan's issue," Lin Mu answered.

"I see…" The Saintess narrowed her eyes upon hearing the latter part. "Has she officially hired you?"

"Yes." Lin Mu nodded his head.

"Good." The Saintess felt a bit better hearing that.

"If you have other engagements, Saintess, you can go back," Lin Mu suddenly spoke, thinking that she might have been asking this because she had other work. "You don't have to tag along with me."

"Why? You don't want me to come with you?" the Saintess teased.

"It's… It's not like that," Lin Mu hurriedly replied. "Of course, you can come. I'll like that," he added.

"I'll be coming along then," the Saintess said with a smile.

Even though Lin Mu couldn't see it clearly under her veil, he could now faintly tell how she was reacting after having spent some time with her.

"Also… what happened to you earlier, Saintess?" Lin Mu asked. "I called for you, but there was no response. Even the twins couldn't get to you," he added in confusion.

"Ah, that. It was a bit of an accident," the Saintess answered. "The appearance of the Bridge Plane pushed me into the Lesser Void behind it," she revealed.

"Pushed you?" Lin Mu furrowed his brows. "Were you on one of those asteroids?" he guessed.

"I was," the Saintess nodded. "The spatial rift that opened up swallowed all the asteroids that were behind it and sent them into the Lesser Void," she explained.

Lin Mu looked up, and sure enough, the sky was still a bit blue.

Some of the asteroids surrounding the planet had moved to fill the empty space, but it would still take a long time to fully cover it like before.

"Contacting me when I'm in another dimension won't work well. And getting out of that place was also bothersome," the Saintess stated.

"Oh yeah, it took you a while to get past it. You came right through the Bridge Plane's surface," Lin Mu remembered her breaking straight through it at the end.

"That was the easiest path I could take. The destabilization of the space had made it so that traveling around the Bridge Plane was very troublesome. The space would send you to random areas due to the instability. I tried it a few times but decided to give up and directly broke through the surface instead," the Saintess explained properly.

"I see… that does make sense," Lin Mu nodded his head.

If he were stuck in a situation like that, he would attempt the same thing.

Though, of course, he would use one of his spatial skills to get through and not just drill straight down the entirety of a plane's depth. That was still something very difficult to do at his level, even if he had managed to cause a mega quake on it.

"Though I was certainly helped by that quake that happened. It shattered the ground just enough for me to sense that the path was a valid one," the Saintess added as she looked at him. "I heard that was your doing?"

"Yes." Lin Mu saw no reason to hide it. "It did come with a price too," he said while looking at his right arm.

It had been fully restored now, but if he thought about it, he could almost imagine the same pain from before.

"You should definitely be careful using that skill," the Saintess said with concern. "Though, if you have to use it, don't ever hesitate when it comes to your life," she added firmly.

Lin Mu could see the confidence she had in her eyes and felt like her thoughts resonated with his own.

"Indeed. It was something worth it, and I don't mind it at all," Lin Mu nodded his head. "Besides, I know in the future I'll be able to handle it better. I simply need to get stronger and tougher.

This isn't the first time I've injured my hand like this anyway. The only solution to it has always been to improve my cultivation or toughen my body." He could remember the dozens of times he had broken his hand using the Boulder Collapsing Fist.

Cultivating the True Gold Body had helped solve this problem back in the Spirit Realm, and in the Immortal Realm, he had managed to endure it with his body cultivation. But now that his Tyrant Bull Marrow Secrets had regressed, he reckoned it was also partially why he had injured himself so badly.

'I might have even managed to push the limits even more if I still had it,' Lin Mu reckoned.

"Is that also why you want to go to the Silent Lotus World?" the Saintess guessed.

"Indeed. One of the skills I obtained back in the Xiaofan World apparently has its origin in the Silent Lotus World," Lin Mu said, making the woman intrigued.

The Saintess then produced two cups of wine and gestured for Lin Mu to have some along with her.

Lin Mu silently picked up the wine cup and took a sip, finding it rather refreshing as well as relaxing at the same time.

The Saintess took a sip as well, before continuing her earlier conversation.

"That's interesting. Skills with such origins often hold more potential than one might think. Perhaps you'll find more than you're looking for," the Saintess said thoughtfully.

"I hope so. Anything that can strengthen me further will be worth it," Lin Mu said resolutely.

The Saintess gazed at him, her eyes softening slightly. "Just remember to pace yourself, Lin Mu. Strength comes with time and patience. Don't forget to cherish the journey as well."

Lin Mu nodded. "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, Saintess."

Lin Mu then explained a bit more about The True Gold Body Forging Secrets and how he learned of its origins. And after hearing it, the Saintess was a bit surprised.

"To think it was originally a Buddhist Skill." She furrowed her brows. "I suppose it is a worthy endeavor to take. If you can really improve or even upgrade the skill, it will be better than purging it altogether." "Exactly. I want to give it another try before I purge it." Lin Mu said with a smile.

On some level Lin Mu had an emotional attachment with the technique and didn't wish to let go of it so easily. Plus he had gone through a lot of hardship with it too, thus the link was deeper.

"Speaking of that, you are going to renew your Tyrant Bull Marrow Secrets too, aren't you?" The Saintess inquired.

"Of course. Lady Kang already gave me a lot of Tyrant Bull Marrow for it too." Lin Mu answered. "I think I have enough to do it all over again at least thrice!" he added with some excitement.

"That's good." The Saintess replied. 'At least she won't cheap out on things like this.' She thought to herself.

"Though now that think of it." Lin Mu suddenly thought of another option that he had. "Perhaps I might be able to modify the original method a bit." "Modify it? What do you have in your mind?" The Saintess asked feeling curious.

"Ah yeah, I should take your input in this." Lin Mu realized that the Saintess was actually good at refinement too considering how she had managed to help him overcome the effects of the Well of Slumber.

Lin Mu then explained the plan he had about refining the Tyrant Bull Marrow and condensing it before actually using it. He only got the idea now, since he had assimilated the alchemy experience of the Withered Spirit Daoist.

He explained it in as much depth as he could and stated all the principles he would use in it.

The Saintess got more and more surprised as she heard of it all. And by the end of it all, she was left a bit perplexed.

"These methods… where did you learn them?" The Saintess could clearly tell they weren't something one might be able to learn in the Immortal Realm.
