Chapter 159 - GO TO WORK
Chapter 159 - GO TO WORK
The sun was still on the eastern horizon, but Ellena was ready with the office clothes she was going to wear today.
A peach-colored long-sleeved shirt and a navy-colored knee-span skirt, beautify Ellena's petite body. Don't forget the black high heels that have been prepared under the bed, to complete the appearance to make it look more perfect.
This time, Ellena was sitting in front of the dressing table with a large mirror on it. She stared at the reflection of her face in the mirror, without stopping the hands that had been moving through her long shiny hair.
Happy. On the one hand, she feels tremendous happiness, because she will return to living a normal life like before she married Lucas. Working in a large company, which might be able to support her life with her mother.
However, here, she was also sad because she could no longer be with Lucas. Not to mention her brother who is still abroad. Martin must have been worried because she hadn't heard from him.
Both things were really frustrating and hard to sleep. Until it makes her eyes a little black from lack of rest.
Ellena slowly moved her hands down, following the current of hair that dangled past her shoulders. When she was tidy enough, she stopped the activity and placed the comb on the dressing table, right in front of her.
"Dear God, give me convenience in every step I take. Keep up with my work. Hopefully this work will bring positive things to me and my family." Ellena whispered as she looked at her reflection. She then pulled the corners of her tiny lips, forming a curve that was quite alluring.
Ah, no wonder Richard was immediately fascinated by her. Apparently she does have an aura that is very attractive to men.
Ellena got up and was silent for a while in front of the mirror in a standing position. Perfect. Her appearance is immaculate. The long mane was deliberately left loose, without any binding or decoration. She just tucked the front hair behind her ear.
She hurriedly walked over to a pair of black leather high heels, wearing them one by one. In an instant, her appearance was perfect. Her white, smooth legs without the slightest flaw, look so in harmony with the heels on which they are based.
The first day of work left Ellena looking so excited. Yes, how not? After a few days of walking around looking for work, today she was able to put an end to that tiring activity. Real work is instead.
After reaching for the hand bag on the table, Ellena rushed out of the room. Approaching her mother who was already busy in the kitchen cooking breakfast for her.
"Good morning, Ma'am!" said Ellena with a smile on her face.
"Good morning, Elle. Are you ready?" Briana asked as she looked back, without removing the spatula in her hand. "It's still very early, Elle." She reminded her.
"Yes, I know, Ma'am. But because I can only go by public transportation, so I purposely got ready this early. You know that public transportation tends to be a little slow, because there are passengers up and down several times. I'm afraid I'll be late. come to the office, Mom. Today is my first time working, so I have to be really disciplined. It's okay if I have to wait for the office to open. We really need this job, Ma'am." Ellena explained at length.
"Yes, you're right. I'm sorry for always making it difficult for you," Briana whispered as she looked down at Ellena's sad face, after a moment she turned off the stove and ended the cooking activity.
"Ma'am, don't say that. You have also sacrificed a lot for me. Now it's my turn to serve you, Ma'am." Ellena hissed as she held her mother's hand.
Briana flashed a smile. One hand reached out to stroke Ellena's hair. "Thank you for being a strong and tough woman. I'm proud of you, My daughter." She said with teary eyes, holding back emotion.
"No matter how difficult the problem you are facing right now, I ask you, stay strong. Never give up! I believe you will be able to get through all of this."
Briana's hands are now holding the base of Ellena's arm. Give positive encouragement through motivational sentences that come out of her mouth. What a wonderful mother and daughter pair. Have the same power.
"Yes, Ma'am. Of course I am strong. You have taught me how we can survive to live. I am also proud to have a mother like you."
Ellena replied while flashing a smile. However, it cannot be denied that she is also very sad considering the economic condition of her family, from the past until now, which still has not changed.
"Thank you, Ma'am."
Briana laughed as she wiped the tears that almost fell down her cheeks. "Today you go to work. Come on ... don't be sad like this, we must be happy." She said trying to neutralize feelings.
Like Briana, Ellena also did the same. Laughing, hiding her sadness. Yes, that's what the mother and daughter pair are doing.
"What are you cooking?" Ellena glanced at the frying pan that was still on the stove. The soy sauce fried rice seemed to fill the small size of the frying.
"Your favorite fried rice." Briana replied, glancing at the stove and Ellena in turn.
"It looks delicious, Ma'am. I can't wait to eat it. My stomach is already hungry." Ellena scowled while rubbing her flat stomach.
"Sit down. Mother will soon prepare breakfast for you." Ellena asked and immediately nodded her head in response.
For a moment Ellena felt like she had returned to her childhood. Just like before. She was always pampered by her mother. Briana is indeed the only place that can be used as a backup at this time. If Lucas was by her side, maybe he wouldn't let her be sad even for a second.
A set of square dining table that only has 4 chairs on each side, looks neatly arranged there. Ellena sat on one of the chairs as she continued to observe her mother's activities.
"Eat!"
It didn't take long, Briana brought two plates of fried rice for her and Ellena. A plate of fried rice seemed to be placed in front of Ellena.
"Remember my message, don't be too close to other men. Remember Lucas is still your husband. Take care of yourself as a wife!" Briana said in the middle of their breakfast activity, repeating what she said yesterday afternoon.
"Okay, Ma'am. I'll always remember your message." Ellena answered quietly.
silence. There is nothing else they discuss. Until a few minutes passed, their activities were finished.
Ellena grabbed the bag that was placed on her left, then got up and said goodbye to Briana.
"Ma'am, I'm leaving first. Don't forget to pray for me, Ma'am," said Ellena while kissing her mother's hand, just before she left the house.
The sun began to creep up, shining its light on the earth. Warm. Looks like Ellena came out at just the right time. Not cold and not too hot. Sunlight this time, enough to provide intake of vitamin D into the body.
She walked down a small alley that only entered one motorbike to two motorbikes. It will also be very narrow, if there are two motors that pass.
The distance from the rented house to the highway is quite far. Not to mention that she has to pass through a housing complex, because it so happens that her current residence is behind the housing complex.
Tired for sure. However, that did not dampen her enthusiasm to go to the office in the morning. She had started to get used to her current condition, after a few days of training her leg muscles by walking around the city looking for work.

After half an hour, Ellena is now in front of the company office where she will work. Turns out her guess was right. She arrived at the office, 15 minutes before the start of work.
The office atmosphere is still quiet. However, there are already several employees milling about in and out of the office.
Ellena decided to stand in front of the building, waiting for the owner and leader of the company to arrive. She still wasn't confident enough to suddenly walk into the office and introduce himself as the new employee there.
Waiting for Richard seemed like the best move at this point. Besides, Ellena hadn't seen the man's car parked in front either. It was certain that Richard had not come.
She had only been waiting for five minutes, when suddenly a white Pajero Sport was parked right in front of the office building. Ellena smiled as soon as Richard got out of the car and went straight to her.
"Good morning, Patricia. Why are you standing here?" Richard asked as he removed the sunglasses that stuck to his face. Now he was standing in front of Elena.
"Good morning, Sir. I was waiting for you, because I was confused if I went straight in. I don't know anyone there. Besides, it seems they don't even know that a new employee will come in today," answered Ellena honestly.
"Yeah, I got it. Okay, come with me!" Richard asked as he entered the building, while Ellena followed him behind.
They walked hand in hand to a special room for employees. One by one the employees in the room greeted Richard in a friendly manner and the boss who seemed relaxed immediately responded positively.
"Attention please, Everyone!" cried Richard who immediately became the center of attention of all the creatures there.
Instantly the room fell silent. No sound. Their gazes focused on Richard. Meanwhile, Ellena was still standing behind the man with her neck bent, as if not daring to show her face in front of the crowd.
"Today we have a new co-worker!" said Richard in a high pitched voice.
He then looked back. His hand reached out to invite Ellena to move to his side.
Ellena immediately agreed by taking two steps forward, until now she was standing side by side with Richard.
"Introducing, she's Ellena Patricia Lubis. You can call her Patricia. Starting today, she will work as head of accounting in our company. I hope you can get to know each other and work well together," explained Richard introducing Ellena in front of his employees.
Ellena immediately gave a friendly smile to all the employees in the room.. Some of them responded with the same thing, some of them seemed indifferent to their presence in that place.
