Chapter 290

Natalia tried to smooth things over, *Estelle probably just wanted to make you happy. She doesn’t have that much money, so asking her dad for it

is normal.”

Leonie sneered, “Happy? Mom was almost pissed off!”

Elizabeth gave Estelle a disgusted look, “We are all in a pretty good mood today, so I won’t bother arguing with you. Just quit your job at Midnight Bar already. How were your former parents raising you? You’re so clueless!”

Leonie added, “Mom, you forgot. Estelle only had a grandpa in her home in C City. She has no parents, so of course no one taught her any

manners!”

Estelle looked up coldly, “You’re the elder, so I’ll let it slide this time!”

Leonie snorted, “Oh wow, you’re letting it slide? What exactly can you do if you don’t?”

“Estelle!” Bennett scolded softly, shielding Estelle behind him, and said to Leonie solemnly, “No matter what kind of family Estelle grew up in before, she’s my daughter now. If you say she does not have manners, you are insulting me”

Leonie stammered, “You’re taking it too seriously, I didn’t mean it like that!

“Enough!” Terrence interrupted, “Guests will be arriving soon, and you’re all bickering like this? You think it’s something we should be proud of? Drop it for now, and we’ll talk about it later!”

Bennett suppressed his anger, letting Estelle find a place to sit, and sat down himself.

Natalia laughed, “Okay, no more anger, everyone. Today is Mom’s birthday, and we should all be happy. The photographer will be here soon to take pictures of us!”

Natalia called a servant over, “Oh, Addy, go wait outside for the photographer. He’s the one Sabina asked for, a top–notch photographer who takes pictures for celebrities and magazines. He even squeezed us into his busy schedule.”

Addy responded repeatedly and hurried outside.

Leonie smirked, “Our Sabina really knows how to get things done!”

Natalia replied, “Well, Sabina just happens to be a few years older than her siblings, so she knows more people!”

Leonie said, “My Sallie just graduated too. If she could be half as capable as Sabina, I’d be over the moon!”

Sallie hated being compared to Sabina by Leonie. She was browsing Tik Tok with her head down, not even bothering to look up.

Hans took the opportunity to approach Estelle and whispered, “Ella, I believe in you. Don’t let the adults get to you. They don’t know anything.”

Estelle’s eyes were calm, “Don’t worry about it!”

No matter what others said, their words could never hurt her!

Hans took out his phone, “Let’s team up, and call Henson too!”

“Alright!” Estelle’s expression was as usual, taking out her phone and playing games with Hans.

On the sofa, everyone gathered around Elizabeth and didn’t mention the previous incident. They were talking again with great fervor.

Natalia asked knowingly, “Wasn’t Sallie going to join Snowy Studios? Did you find a way in yet?”

Sallie kept silent with a sullen face. Leonie also looked unhappy, hating Natalia for exposing their shortcomings in public. She explained slowly, “We were deceived by that Baber before. Sallie plans to get a certificate first and then apply on her own merits.”

Natalia smiled, “That’s more reliable. There are so many scammers these days, we have to be careful!”

Leonie continued, “Getting the certificate will take some time. Why not let Sallie work with Sabina for now? She’s family, after all, and she can take good care of Sallie.”

Sabina’s expression was cold. “I’m afraid that won’t work. The Lamont Group has very strict recruiting requirements.”
