Estelle said. “rm gonna go check on Emily, you go back upstairs and catch some more sleep”

Jonathan repede already up. I won’t be able to sleep anyway. You go check on her, and Til just chill on the couch”

“Alright, Estelle responded, heading off to see Emily.

Emily was still asleep, and Estelle touched her forehead, relieved that her fever had subsided.

After sitting in the room for a bit and noticing that Emily was still fast asleep, Estelle tiptoed out

On the couch, the man leaned back against the armrest, one hand supporting his head, eyes closed as though napping

As Estelle was just about to grab a blanket to cover him, Jonathan suddenly opened his eyes, a pair of deep, hazy orbs gazed at her before he beckoned for her to come closer, “Ella, come here!”

It was the first time he called her Ella, and Estelle’s heart skipped a beat as she remained frozen in place.

The early morning sunlight filled the room, with a faint glow and a soft golden hue enveloping the man, accentuating his handsome features.

His eyes were gentle, his lips rosy, and his white shirt bathed in the early morning light.

Estelle slowly approached him, and as he grasped her wrist, he gently pulled her close so that she could lean against his chest. His voice was warm, “You didn’t get much sleep last night, and you’re up so early. If you’re sleepy, just lean on me and doze off for a bit.”

His scent was familiar and refreshing, and his well-built muscles were hidden under the shirt. Estelle found a comfortable position and leaned against him. At 6 a.m., J City was very quiet and peaceful, so was the room, filling her heart with tranquility.

Jonathan wrapped his arm around her shoulders, his palm gently caressing the collar of her clothes. He whispered into her ear, “Take a nap, I’ll wake you up at 7!”

Estelle didn’t feel sleepy at first, but as she lay in his arms, she somehow drifted off quickly.

At 7 a m., Estelle went to check on Emily again, and as she entered the room, Emily’s groggy eyes met hers, her face soon changing into a shock

expression.

Estelle sat down at the bedside, asking, “How are you feeling?”

Emily sat up but she could barely speak due to her hoarse voice. “Estelle, what are you doing here? What time is it?”

“It’s just 7 o’clock, no rush,” Estelle urged her to lie back down. “You’re sick, Charlie called me to come over. How are you feeling right now?” “Charlie?” Emily’s eyes widened slightly as the memories from the previous night slowly came back.

She had been out in the rain and wind, working as a delivery person until nearly midnight. When she got home, she felt weak and dizzy but thought a hot shower would do the trick.

She couldn’t remember anything after that.

“Last night, Charlie went back to the Royal Mansion, probably wanting you to make him a late-night snack. But when he saw you were down with a fever he called the doctor for you, and he took care of

you all night until this morning,” Estelle explained.

Emily remembered she had taken a shower and wondered if Charlie had found her then…

Her face flushed hot, as she tried hard to recall. It seemed that someone had been taking care of her in her sleep, covering her with a blanket and wiping her body. She thought it was just a dream of her mom taking care of her.

Was it Charlie who had been there in reality?

Emily’s heart raced, not even daring to ask Estelle who had put her in her pajamas. She just vaguely said, “I’ll make sure to thank him later!” “You don’t need to. He went abroad today and won’t be back for a few days, Estelle replied with a gentle smile.

“Well,” Emily nodded slowly, still feeling a bit dazed.
