Chapter 1274  Unexpected Surprise (Part 3)

The first reason Evan wanted to revive Carla despite the risk was that he wasn't sure how long it would take him to complete the second level of Blood Assimilation and... Whether it would reduce the negative effects of the skill.

The second, and most important reason stemmed from what had happened in the Tomb of the Ancient when he was possessed by Azroth's soul fragment.

In the Tomb, he had found a bone of a Rank Six Light Dragon. Using that bone, Azroth had revived the Rank Six Dragon.

However, instead of a permanent resurrection, the Light Dragon was only temporarily resurrected.

Evan wasn't sure if the skill Azroth had used at that time to revive the dragon was related to Balance Weaver or not. If it wasn't related to Balance Weaver and was an entirely different skill, then it wouldn't be a problem.

However, if the skill he used was connected to Balance Weaver, then a potential issue existed.

Would the Balance Weaver skill turn into a temporary resurrection skill in the future after evolving through Blood Assimilation?

The reason Evan thought about this possibility was because, when Azroth revived the Light Dragon, his luck wasn't permanently reduced by one percent.

This indicated that there were no side effects involved in reviving the Light Dragon.

Considering this, Evan couldn't help but think that, in the future, as the Balance Weaver skill evolved, its negative effects might disappear. However, at the same time, the permanent resurrection ability might transform into a temporary one.

Although such a possibility was unlikely, Evan couldn't completely rule it out. If he waited for his Balance Weaver skill to evolve before reviving Carla and it truly transformed into a temporary resurrection skill, it would create another major headache for him.

In Evan's view, a permanent resurrection—despite the troubles it might bring to the revived individual—was far better than a temporary one.

Additionally, based on his own experience, Evan believed that as long as Carla had sufficient strength, she would be able to handle life-threatening crises without much difficulty.

Not to mention, he was planning to assign some of his shadow undeads to protect her at all times.

Along with Sylvan, Ashley, and other high-level Core Evolvers in the Closed World of Drayds, they could handle any kind of trouble that might arise.

Once Evan finished explaining everything, Sylvan fell into deep thought. Ashley and the others didn't say anything as they knew the final decision ultimately rested with Sylvan.

If he agreed, they could proceed with the resurrection right away. If he didn't, they would have to wait until Evan had enough strength to complete the second level of Blood Assimilation and evolve the Balance Weaver skill before making any further decisions.

Evan and the others didn't rush Sylvan, giving him the time he needed. After a long period of silence, Sylvan finally took a deep breath and spoke in a serious voice.

"Let's revive her now."

Evan was a little surprised when he heard Sylvan's response. Before coming, he had estimated an eighty percent chance that Sylvan would choose to wait until the skill evolved to the next level.

After all, the chances of the Balance Weaver skill turning into a temporary resurrection ability were not very high.

Based on what Evan had heard from Anastasia, she had mentioned that she'd only seen a few skills worsen after evolving. The number was so small it could be counted on one hand.

Evan also felt he might be overthinking things. However, as someone who had personally witnessed Azroth fail to permanently resurrect the Light Dragon, he couldn't be entirely sure about the outcome.

That uncertainty was the main reason he had chosen to inform Sylvan about the potential risks.

He had expected Sylvan to think like most of the people, concluding that the skill wouldn't evolve into a temporary resurrection ability, and to decide to wait.

But to his surprise, Sylvan had decided to revive Carla immediately.

"Are you sure?" Evan asked, just to confirm. "I don't know much about Carla, so I am not sure how she will react when she learns about her situation after being revived. You should consider her reaction as well."

Sylvan shook his head and replied in a low voice, "It's precisely because I know her very well that I decided to go through with the resurrection."

"What do you mean?" Evan raised an eyebrow at Sylvan's words, his expression full of confusion.

Sylvan noticed the puzzled look on Evan's face but didn't elaborate further. Instead, he stood up and asked, "Where do you want to revive her?"

Evan gave Sylvan a strange look, confused by his reluctance to explain, but decided to set it aside for now and stood up as well.

'Since he has decided to proceed with the resurrection, he must have thought of something,' Evan thought to himself before speaking aloud.

"Let's go to the training room. I don't know what kind of commotion it might cause since this is my first time using the skill."

Sylvan nodded in agreement. The training room where Ashley and other high-level Core Evolvers typically trained was constructed with high-grade materials that wouldn't be easily damaged.

Evan and the others left the meeting room, and Ashley quickly teleported them to the training room using her ability.

Evan looked around the training room and saw that it was empty. The room was massive, nearly three times the size of a football stadium.

Additionally, a space expansion formation installed within the ground allowed the size of the room to increase as needed.

After entering the training room, Sylvan walked forward and retrieved something from his storage ring. It was Carla's head, carefully preserved in bright green energy. Sylvan gently placed it on the ground before stepping back.

Evan observed Carla's head and noted how well-preserved it was. Taking a deep breath, he activated his skill.

As the skill was activated, black, golden, and milky white lights flickered in his eyes simultaneously and he spoke in a low voice.

"Balance Weaver."
