Chapter 1275  Unexpected Surprise (Part 4)

"Balance Weaver!"

The moment Evan activated the skill, three distinct lights—pitch black, golden, and milky white—flashed simultaneously in his eyes.

At the same time, within his Primordial Monarch Core, the black-coloured Primordial Shadow Energy split into three parts, each taking on the distinct colours of black, golden, and milky white.

Upon seeing the transformation within his core, Evan immediately recognized the energies.

"Conceptual Energy of Death, Life, and Soul," He muttered to himself, watching as all three energies surged out of his body and moved toward Carla's head, which was lying a short distance away from him.

As the three energies emerged, an overwhelming aura of death, life, and soul filled the entire training room.

Evan glanced at Anastasia and the others, noting their reactions. While they could clearly sense the overwhelming aura of these energies, it seemed they could not see the distinct colours or their manifestation.

The swirling energies, visible only to him, hovered directly above Carla's head.

Turning his focus back to Carla, Evan noticed that among the three energies, the pitch-black energy of death was the first to act. It surged forward, entering Carla's head without stopping.

The instant the Conceptual Energy of Death went inside her head, Evan felt an unfamiliar connection forming and sensed the conceptual energy of death was erasing something deep within her.

Activating his heightened spiritual senses, Evan concentrated intensely on the process. As he tried to understand the intricate workings of the energy, he fell into an unusually focused state of observation.

Meanwhile, within the training room, after the conceptual energy of death began to work, the aura of death grew exponentially stronger, and black, smoke-like particles began to rise from Carla's head.

These black smoke particles radiated an intense aura of death, so potent it seemed as if the particles themselves were physical embodiments of death.

"What are these black particles?" Alaric asked, his voice carrying a tinge of alarm.

Although he couldn't discern the exact nature of the particles, his instincts warned him of danger. Strangely, the sensation wasn't one of direct physical harm; rather, it was a profound, primal fear that seemed to originate from the very core of his being.

Sylvan and the others didn't respond to Alaric's question as they too felt the same instinctive aversion.

Although the black particles didn't appear capable of causing direct harm, every fibre of their beings warned them to stay away, as if this response had been etched deep into their souls.

"The aura of death surrounding Carla is dissipating…" Anastasia said softly, narrowing her eyes as she studied Carla's head.

While a living being naturally emanated an aura of life, the aura vanished upon death, replaced entirely by an aura of death—a symbol of the end of existence.

For practitioners like necromancers and corpse puppet refiners, this aura of death was a fundamental resource, used to manipulate and control the deceased.

Carla's body had been dead for months, and the aura of death surrounding her had grown exceptionally strong during that time.

But now, Anastasia could clearly feel the death energy being dispelled, and the black smoke particles rising from her head were the remnants of that energy being purified.

As the aura of death continued to dissipate, Sylvan and the others began to notice significant changes in the atmosphere surrounding Carla.

Every being—whether alive or dead—possesses some form of aura. But now, Carla had none.

What was even more astonishing was that, when they tried to examine her with their spiritual senses, she seemed to completely evade detection.

If not for the visible presence of her head, they might have believed there was nothing there at all. It was as though her head had become something that existed yet simultaneously didn't exist—alive yet not alive, dead yet not dead.

"What is happening?" Ashley asked in a hushed tone, her voice tinged with confusion and unease.

She glanced toward Evan, noticing his unwavering focus on Carla's head. He appeared lost in thought, utterly absorbed by the process unfolding before him.

Seeing that he wasn't responding, Ashley opened her mouth to ask again but ultimately decided against it. Instead, she returned her focus to Carla.

At that moment, Evan's full attention was on the black smoke particles that had been emanating from Carla's head and he could feel the immense death energy radiating from them.

Time continued to pass, and soon an hour had gone by.

By now, all traces of the aura of death surrounding Carla had vanished and at the same time, the Conceptual Energy of Death within her had fully dissipated, and the black smoke particles had ceased to emerge.

Evan exhaled deeply, his gaze shifting to the status window that appeared before him.

---) Current Understanding of the Conceptual Energy of Death: 0.6%

'I didn't expect this...' He thought to himself, a faint smile curling his lips.

Just as Evan was savouring this unexpected progress, the milky white energy that had been hovering above Carla moved and entered her body.

The moment the Conceptual Energy of Soul entered her, a powerful spiritual aura exploded outward, filling the room.

Evan and the others instinctively turned their attention to Carla and immediately noticed the emergence of intense soul fluctuations, so potent it felt as though a powerful spiritual entity had awakened within her.

As Evan pondered the potential effects of the Conceptual Energy of the Soul, his mind suddenly buzzed, and his vision blurred.

He staggered backwards, barely managing to stabilize himself.

Anastasia and the others were stunned by his abrupt reaction. Just as they were about to ask what had happened, an immensely powerful aura of soul fluctuations erupted from Evan's body, shaking the very foundation of the Closed World of Drayds.

The sheer intensity of this aura exerted a crushing pressure on everyone present. Even Anastasia found herself momentarily overwhelmed, her mind going blank for a brief moment.

At the same time, a notification flashed before Evan's eyes.
