Chapter 1076 Special State

Lea’s already pale face turned even paler. “Please, Mr. Mullen. You’re so rich and powerful; I’m sure you can find any pawn or woman you want. Please let me go. I just want to go somewhere secluded and live a good life. Please…”

“Shut up!” Anthony growled, irritated.

He pulled off his tie and threw it on the coffee table as he yelled at her coldly, “You don’t get it, do you? Only I can abandon you. You want to go to a place where there is no one else and live a good life there? Fine. We’ll talk about that after I get tired of you.”

After he finished speaking, he rushed toward her, pressed her against the sofa, and ripped her clothes off.

“No, Mr. Mullen. Please, don’t…” Lea cried out when she realized his intentions.

Anthony narrowed his eyes and said, “Why are you trying to get away from me? Why are you rejecting me? Do you have another man out there?!”

The man’s face looked cold and scary. Lea was frightened. “N–No… It’s just… M–my relatives are here.”

“Your relatives are here?” The man muttered in suspicion. However, he got off from her because he was not in the mood anymore. He got up, straightened himself, and went out of the apartment. Lea let out a sigh of relief when she saw him leave, but she was also disappointed at the same time.

When Anthony was at the door, he stopped, turned his head around, and warned her, “Remember what I said. Only I can abandon you. Even if Kisa has fired you, you still have to come back to Athadale in the next few days.” He then left and slammed the door shut with a bang.

Lea curled up on the sofa, feeling worried and uneasy. She did not know what to do to keep the child in her womb safe.

“Ma’am!”

“Ma’am!”

“Ma’am!”

The three kids greeted Kisa when she returned to the Kooper residence. As usual, Ada rushed over into her arms. However, just before she could hug her, Andrew and Blake pulled her away. “Ada, Ma’am is in a special state right now. You can’t just go into her arms like that anymore.”

As soon as Blake said that, Ada nodded in realization. “Ah, yes. I almost forgot.”

Kisa looked at the three of them, confused. ‘Special state? What does that mean?‘

“Come, Ma’am. Let’s go and eat. Great–Grandma has prepared a lot of your favorite dishes today.”

Kisa was shocked and puzzled at the same time. ‘Why is grandma being so nice today? It’s not like it’s still six years ago.‘

As she was questioning everything, the kids dragged her into the house.

At that moment, Madalyn was sitting at the dining table that was full of yummy dishes. Kisa took a glance and saw that there were quite a few of her favorite dishes.

“Hmph,” snorted Madalyn as she said, “Go wash your hands and eat.” Kisa did not respond. She just went to the bathroom obediently.

When she arrived at the entrance of the bathroom, she was shocked. ‘Since when did the bathroom have a non–slip mat? Are they worried that the kids would slip and fall? Hmm. Grandma is rather old and more prone to slipping and falling if she isn’t careful. I guess this is a good safety measure,‘ she thought.

Kisa then turned her head and called out to George, who was not far away, saying, ” This non–slip mat is a good idea. It should have been used long ago.”

George smiled and said, “I’m glad you like it, Mrs. Kooper. Mrs. Kooper Sr. was the one who ordered us to lay it out.”

Kisa washed her hands and thought that Madalyn was just being cautious. When she came out of the bathroom, the three kids were already at the table, waiting for her to come. Fearing that the children were hungry, she quickly rushed over. When Madalyn saw that Kisa was walking fast, she frowned.
