Chapter 1141 Maternity Clothes

“Are these the clothes I asked you to buy?”

Davian was shocked. “Yes, Mr. Kooper. Is something wrong?”

Gilbert asked him to buy some clothes and shoes for a pregnant woman.

So, Davian went to a maternity store in a mall and asked the shopkeeper to pick the clothes for him. He figured that his taste might be bad, so he put his trust in the shopkeeper instead. novelbin

‘But, why does Mr. and Mrs. Kooper look very unhappy with the clothes?’

Gilbert grabbed the bags of clothes and threw them at him.

“They’re all either black or gray. Look at how old-fashioned the designs are and how big the dresses are! I gave you an order. Why can’t you just put some effort into it, huh?”

Davian lowered his head as Gilbert went off at him.

Then, he softly said, “I tried. I just thought that I might have bad taste in fashion. So, I told the shopkeepers to pick them for me, and I paid for everything.”

“The shopkeepers probably gave you all the designs that nobody wants.”

Then, Davian said with his eyes wide open, “I-It can’t be.”

‘Oh, God!

‘It might be true!’

He suddenly remembered he heard another customer asking the cashier if the off-season collections were on a big sale when he left the maternity store.

It turned out that the shopkeepers picked all the old designs and charged him the original price for everything.

“Ugh! They scammed me!’

Davian picked up the clothes and said, “Mr. Kooper, please give me some time. I’ll get some new ones for Mrs. Kooper.”

“It’s okay. I don’t think I can trust you anymore. I’ll do it myself. Gilbert spoke as he stood up and walked outside.

Kisa was confused. “What are you guys doing? I have my own clothes. I don’t need any new ones.”

‘What’s wrong with Gilbert? Why does he keep wanting to buy me new clothes?”

Gilbert stood at the door. Then, he turned his head and said, “You should change everything that you’re wearing right now. After all, everybody else thinks that you just had a miscarriage. You’re supposed to be resting at home, so don’t go anywhere today. Just change into some loungewear. And, I don’t want to see you wearing heels at all these days!”

Gilbert said in a commanding tone before he left with Davian, leaving Kisa standing confusedly in the room.

‘What’s going on?

‘Since when did Gilbert start caring so much about what I wear?

‘This is ridiculous!”

Gilbert bought new shoes and clothes for her and demanded a lot about how she should dress.

However, he still spoke to her in a very cold tone.

After all, everything changed after that morning.

Kisa did not know if she got too used to the gentle and thoughtful side of him those days.

But, she felt a little uncomfortable with how indifferent and aloof he got. She just had a bitter feeling deep down.

Kisa suppressed the emotion she should not have. Then, she took off her shoes and changed into her loungewear before she lay on her bed.

She had no idea what made drained her and made her so tired these two days, but she would fall asleep almost instantly whenever she lay on a bed.

She started wandering into her dream after less than two minutes after she got onto her bed.

In the car.

Davian confusedly asked, “Mr. Kooper, why don’t you just tell Mrs. Kooper that she’s pregnant directly? That way, you can bring her along and pick the maternity wear with her.”

Gilbert pursed his lips and did not say anything.

He badly wanted to tell her about this good news too, but what happened that morning was still bothering him.

He was worried that Kisa might find their new baby troubling, and he wanted Kisa to look forward to giving birth to that baby.

And, he was very afraid that Kisa would try to get rid of the baby..

So, he decided to wait.

He figured that Kisa would form a connection with the baby growing inside of her, and she would not then. have the heart to get an abortion by
