Chapter 1101 Dream Come True

“Just let the maids do it.”

“The maid’s cooking is not as good as mine. Give me a moment.” Gilbert smiled and strode toward the kitchen.

Kisa looked on with amazement. Previously, she had always felt that his tenderness and affection were all just a pretense. But after she had ruined GK, and he could still be so kind and caring to her, it made her think twice about whether the ‘truth’ she was told was credible. If it was not, then there might be a more powerful mastermind behind it all. She was almost certain that Carolyn and Sharon couldn’t be the mastermind because they did not have the ability. ‘But who could it be? Who could be the one to toy with us all? Or, maybe I’m wrong. There is no one else behind this. But, Gilbert’s kindness to me these days really doesn’t match up with the so-called ‘truth’. If Gilbert really wants me dead, there is no need for him to do all this. Especially after what happened with the contract. There is no reason for him to be so nice to me.’

She sat down on the couch and kneaded her aching brow. With her getting more and more confused, her temples pulsated. She took a deep breath and forced herself not to think about it. Otherwise, she would only get herself into a blind alley.

Gilbert was busy in the kitchen. Before long, he came out with two steamy plates in his hands. He put the plates on the table and smiled at Kisa. “Come and eat.”

Before Kisa even moved, the children had come over with curiosity.

“Daddy, what delicious thing did you make for Ma’am?”

Ada asked, stretching her neck to have a look. “Wow, it’s minced meat spaghetti. Daddy, you have never cooked spaghetti for Andrew and me.”

Andrew followed. “Daddy treats Ma’am so well. We have grown up without ever tasting daddy’s hand- cooked spaghetti.”

“Uncle Gilbert’s cooking looks amazing.” Blake stared at the spaghetti and complimented Gilbert.

“Alright, alright. You guys go play. Let your ma’am come over and eat,” Gilbert said with amusement.

“Okie.”

The children promptly complied and ran to the courtyard outside.

Kisa felt warm at heart as she looked at the three children. She got up and walked to the table. Looking at the minced meat and egg spaghetti reminded her of the last time he cooked the same for her. She could not help but smile. “Is this all you can cook?”

Gilbert was startled. “Y-You don’t like it?” He had watched her eat it all the last time and thought she liked

“I like it. I’m just curious if you can cook anything else.” Kisa sat down at the table and was ready to dig in. “Then, I will cook something else for you next time.” Gilbert smiled.

Kisa also smiled, not saying anything. She just concentrated on her spaghetti. She wondered if it was because she was hurt by what happened to Lea that she felt exceptionally warm when she came back to the Kooper residerice today. In fact, this scene was what she had imagined six years ago when she was first pregnant – A fantasy of having him, a child, a happy family, and a warm and happy life. At that time, she also had a similar dream and woke up smiling, but then she cried, thinking that everything in

her dream would never come true. But now, although these children were not hers and that she was not sure

about Gilbert, the warm scene was not far from the dream back then. Kisa could not help but look a few more glances at Gilbert.

At that moment, a sarcastic hum came from the stairway.
