Chapter 1171 Expectations

Kisa responded to Gilbert in a blur. It was cold outside, but the temperature in the house was rising steadily. At some point, her nightdress was unbuttoned, and she shivered slightly from the head of the man’s body. Just as she fell asleep again, the man suddenly stopped kissing her and helped her put on her nightdress.

Kisa looked at him blankly, her cheeks were flushed, and her eyes were teary. “What?” She asked in a low voice, feeling inexplicably disappointed. It turned out that she still subconsciously longed to be close to him. This made her feel contradictory and uncomfortable, so much so that she even despised herself a little.

Gilbert kissed her forehead and said, “Go to sleep. It’s late.”

Kisa did not say anything. Instead, she just turned her back to him. She did not know what was wrong as tears fell down her cheeks. She was feeling incredibly sad. Gilbert stared at her thin shoulders for a while and reached out to turn off the light.

After that, he held Kisa in his arms, and she did not struggle to break free.

She stared at the blurry window in a daze, somewhat disdainful of how she had fallen asleep just now. She found it hard to believe, but she had a slight anticipation, expecting the man to touch her.

The hatred she had for him was now nothing. It was contradicting and painful for her as she did not know how to face this new feeling.

At the entrance of the club, Davian put his hands in his pockets and paced back and forth by the flower bed. The last time he went there with Mr. Kooper, the bouncer had let him in. But now that he was

alone, the bouncer refused to let him enter the establishment. He had even tried to bribe him with money, but the bouncer stood his ground.

The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. So, he squatted near the flower bed, took out a cigarette, and smoked it sullenly.

Not long after, two figures suddenly walked out of the club. Davian took a closer look, and who was the sexy and enchantingly dressed woman walking wobbly, if not Felicity? Davian quickly got rid of his cigarette and ran over to her.

“I want to drink! If I don’t defeat those b*stards at drinking, then I’m not Felicity Jennings!” She said angrily as she staggered around.

Ronald helped her steady herself and said with a smile, “Okay, Felicity. It’s getting late. I’ll take you back to your place. Those people are sore losers. Let’s not play with them next time, okay? Don’t be mad.”

“Felicity…” Just as Ronald was helping her to the car, Davian suddenly came out of nowhere.

Felicity narrowed her eyes immediately and stared at him coolly as she said, “Who are you?

Davian’s heart skipped a beat.

‘It’s only been a few days; does she really not remember me?’

Davian was a little angry and sad at the same time. He put on a smile and said, “Felicity, I’m Davian. Mr. Kooper introduced-”

“What? Davian? I’ve never heard of that name in my life. Shoo! Don’t get in the way,” she said in disgust and deliberately leaned her whole body against Ronald. Ronald was interested in her, so his

arms naturally locked around her waist firmly when she leaned

over.

Seeing the two so close together, Davian’s eyes turned red.

“Felicity, I was wrong. Please give me a chance to explain myself. Why are you doing this?”

Felicity stared at him and sneered, “What exactly am I doing?”

“You fall for every man you see. You flirt and fool around with so many men; have you ever thought about me?”

“Hah. Good question. Let’s see… You mean nothing to me. You’re not even comparable to the average man.”
