Chapter 1194 Trying for a Baby

“What are you drinking?” The man’s voice was tense and gloomy as if he was anxious. “It’s wine. What’s wrong?” Kisa said in a daze.

As soon as he heard that, Gilbert stood up immediately. He grabbed the glass from her and yelled, “Who gave you this?”

Kisa was baffled by the yelling and subconsciously looked at Felicity. Felicity frowned and stared at Gilbert before saying, “Why are you shouting? It’s just some fruit wine. I let her have it.”

“Who allowed you to do so? Do you want her to die?” Gilbert yelled. Felicity was

dumbstruck. “It’s just some wine. How would Kisa die because of it?” She snorted coldly.

Gilbert ignored her. He quickly grabbed Kisa’s hand and asked, “How much have you drank? Do you feel any discomfort?”

Kisa was taken aback by his inexplicable nervousness. She shook her head and said, “No, I feel fine.”

Felicity glanced coldly at the man and sarcastically snorted, “You’re just like she said, domineering, not letting her drink alcohol… This isn’t a pub, you know? She can just sleep here if she gets drunk. Do you think that I would try to harm her? Besides, it isn’t easy to get intoxicated with fruit wine!”

“What do you know?!” Gilbert screamed at her again.

Felicity was furious. “What are you yelling about?! How would I know what you’re talking about if you don’t tell me?!”

Seeing that the two were starting to quarrel again, Kisa quickly laughed it off, “Okay, okay. Stop arguing. It’s just a minor misunderstanding.”

She looked at Gilbert and said, “And you, I just drank some wine; what’s the big deal? I-It’s not like I can’t drink alcohol…”

Kisa’s voice quieted down subconsciously when she saw the man narrow his eyes sullenly. He stared at her with a heavy gaze and said, “Listen, you’re not allowed to drink anymore.” novelbin

“Oh, how bossy!” Felicity snorted contemptuously. Davian opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but he did not. He almost wanted to tell her that Kisa was pregnant, so she could not drink alcohol, but he remembered that Gilbert wanted to keep it a secret.

Kisa looked at the man in front of her inexplicably and said, “Why are you stopping me from drinking? Can you stop being so overbearing?!”

“No particular reason,” the man said with no further explanation. He then forcefully continued, “Don’t forget that you’re regulating your body. It’s not good for you to drink.” Felicity raised an eyebrow and asked with a smile, “Why are you going through body

regulation? Are you guys trying for a baby?”

Kisa was startled for a moment. In embarrassment, she shook her head and said, “No, no. I’m just taking some hormones because my period is irregular.”

“Oh… So, you’re trying to regulate your hormones for a healthy pregnancy…” Felicity smiled sullenly and turned to one of her servants to say, “Go pour some water for Mrs. Kooper.” “Yes, miss.”

Gilbert’s expression became much better when he heard that.

“Oh, you. You should’ve told me that you guys are trying for a baby; that’s why she can’t drink. There was no need to yell. I’m telling you, no woman can stand it,” Felicity chuckled.

Gilbert let out a snort and ignored her. Davian looked at the two and quickly explained on behalf of Gilbert, “I’m sure Mr. Kooper didn’t want to lose his temper, but today has been an awful day for him.”

Felicity leaned back, picked up her glass of wine, and asked casually, “Then, tell me what happened that was so bad he had to vent his anger at us.”
