Chapter 1271 I’ll Give My Blessing If She Comes Back

Gilbert looked at Kisa with sad eyes and asked, “You really want her to appear?”

“Well, yeah. Don’t you?”

1-”

“Don’t tell me that you don’t want that. Don’t tell me that I’m the one you really love,” Kisa interrupted him lightly.

“You couldn’t wait to catch up when you saw that figure that resembled her. Don’t you think be lying if you said you love me? Honestly, I don’t blame you for anything. Love can’t be forced. you’d

I’ve already thought about it after all these years. If she ever comes back, I’ll give you two my blessing,” Kisa said with a smile.

It was as if she no longer wanted this marriage.

Gilbert grabbed onto the mattress tightly. He gripped it so angrily that his knuckles turned blue.

Kisa saw the man’s sullen look and laughed, “Didn’t you say I robbed her of being Mrs. Kooper? Isn’t giving it back to her when she returns the right thing to do? Why are you getting mad about it?

“…Okay. I’m not mad.” Gilbert’s face looked tense, but his voice was calm as he slowly said, “Kisa, you really are heartless.” After that, he lay on his side, his back facing her.

Kisa stared at the ceiling for a while. After some time, she sneered to herself, ‘Oh, suddenly I’m the heartless one? If I really was heartless, I wouldn’t have been so badly hurt by you.’ Kisa turned to her side, and their backs faced each other.

With a soft click of the light switch, the room instantly plunged into darkness. The two were lying on the same bed, but neither spoke up. Although they were side by side, the room was filled with loneliness.

The next day, Kisa was surprised to find that Gilbert was still in the room when she woke up. The man had always been an early bird. The two had quarreled the night before, so she thought he would have left early in the morning.

But the man was fully dressed and sitting by the window reading a book. When he saw that she was awake, he glanced at her with no intention of speaking. Kisa was too embarrassed to talk to him first because of what had happened. She got up, took her clothes, and went straight to the

bathroom.

Maybe it was because of the man’s presence that she slept soundly last night without having any dreams. There were no scary words drawn on the mirror, and everything in the room was normal. The panic in her heart had dissipated.

Kisa quickly changed her clothes and briefly washed her face. When she came out of the bathroom, she froze as she saw Arthur in the room. Gilbert was still sitting by the window; his

posture did not change, only his face became much darker. On the other hand, Arthur stood stiffly against the wall like he was being punished.

When he saw her come out of the bathroom, he let out a sigh of relief. “You’re finally here!”

Kisa smiled at him in surprise and asked, “What’s the matter? What do you need me for so early in the morning?”

“Early in the morning?” Arthur glanced at her contemptuously. “Kisa, you must have slept very late. last night. It’s not early in the morning.”

Kisa looked at him, doubtful, as she walked to the bed and picked up her phone to check the time.’ What?! It’s already 11 in the morning?!”

Kisa suffered from insomnia last night. Although she had slept late last night, she had never woken up this late before.

“Kisa, I’m going to visit my aunt. Let’s go together.”

“Okay,” Kisa nodded, tied her hair up casually, and followed Arthur outside. They ignored Gilbert as if he was invisible to them.
