Wake Up As Gay Werewolf Prince [BL]

Chapter 51

Chapter 51

51 THE WHEELS HIT HARD PAVEMENT

Shaking his head to get the thought out of his head, Bai Chen said to himself, ‘This stupid man is just a prostitute, and he can’t keep a secret from me.’ Just like a confused teenager, he immediately refuted his own theory. ‘Instead of thinking about this pervert, I’d better focus on my mission.’

Thinking of the mission, he suddenly realized that the system was so quiet even after he agreed to accept the mission. ‘Hey, sys. Where are the reward points for me after I hired Zhu Ge as my personal servant?’ He quickly questioned the lazy system.

{OH YES. THE SYSTEM FORGETS TO GIVE REWARDS TO THE HOST.

THE HOST HAS ACCEPTED THE MISSION TO HIRE ‘ZHU GE’ AS A NEW PERSONAL SERVANT.

50 POINTS HAVE BEEN CREDITED TO THE HOST.

CURRENT POINTS: 100}

Now Bai Chen didn’t know if the system was too lazy or stingy when he finally got his precious 50 points. Maybe it was both when it came to the sneaky system.

The Werewolf Prince was annoyed by the system, but he chose to ignore it when he suddenly turned to Ma Qiao and said, “I need to read some books in Wenxue Pavilion, so you can leave me now.”

Bai Chen had just realized that he had wasted his precious time just talking nonsense with Zhu Ge and Ma Qiao, and now he knew that he had to go to Wenxue Pavilion to find an answer to his curiosity.

.....

He was ready to leave, but suddenly, his arm was grabbed by someone. When he looked up, he could find Ma Qiao looking at him with teary eyes. The sight was not adorable at all, and he frowned instead of feeling pity.

“Why did you only dismiss me and not Zhu Ge, Your Highness? Is Zhu Ge your favorite now? You don’t need this old servant after you get the young one?” The old servant suddenly acted as if he was an old wife abandoned by her husband because her husband had just gotten a new wife, and Bai Chen facepalmed before turning his gaze to the other person standing next to the old man.

Zhu Ge suddenly chuckled after hearing Ma Qiao’s words, and Bai Chen suddenly felt dizzy. ‘One servant had bothered me, and now I have two,’ he lamented.

When he was still in his previous life, he had often dreamed of living in a rich family with many servants lined up in front of him and ready to serve him, but now that he had finally gotten two servants in front of him, he had to admit that having a servant wasn’t always good.

“You can also leave me, Zhu Ge,” Bai Chen decided to treat the two servants equally as he didn’t want to hear the older servant protesting to him anymore.

And after hearing his words, he could see Ma Qiao’s face brightened as he finally let go of his hand. Bai Chen almost breathed a sigh of relief when he thought that this matter had finally been resolved, but he was wrong once again when he suddenly heard Zhu Ge’s voice.

“There are many books in Wenxue Pavilion, right? Can I follow you to Wenxue Pavilion?”

The request not only surprised Bai Chen, but Ma Qiao also looked shocked. The older servant narrowed his eyes at the black-haired youth as he asked sarcastically, “What are you going to do in Wenxue Pavilion? A slut like you must be illiterate.”

Bai Chen could guess that the two servants would start the banter again after this. It hadn’t even been ten minutes since he had decided to hire Zhu Ge as his servant, but the two men were constantly arguing about small things in front of him.

However, he thought that Ma Qiao had gone too far this time. He didn’t really know how prostitutes lived their lives in this world, but if he looked back at the prostitutes from his previous life, he could tell that those people did come from poor families, and they were uneducated.

Therefore, he had faith in his heart that Zhu Ge was also an uneducated person, but he still didn’t like the way Ma Qiao humiliated the young man. “Don’t say that even though Zhu Ge can’t read, Ma Qiao. I’m sure he-”

“I can read.”

Bai Chen couldn’t finish his lecture when he suddenly heard Zhu Ge cut off what he was saying. He defended the taller man, but before he could even finish his words, the man dared to cut him off.

It irritated him, but also piqued his curiosity when he heard the man’s statement. “You can read? You’re not an uneducated person?” He asked in disbelief.

Instead of directly answering the question, Zhu Ge glanced and smirked at Ma Qiao for a moment before looking back at the Prince. “Yes. I was born into a rich family, and I learned to read and write when I was young. It’s just, we live in this world like how the wheels of a carriage roll on the road. Sometimes we were on the top, but in an instant, we could be at the bottom until we hit the hard pavement. My life is like that too.”

Bai Chen’s curiosity was answered. Since the first time he had met Zhu Ge in the Red Pavilion, he had somehow thought that the man was not just an ordinary prostitute. The man looked elegant and charming in his own way, and sometimes he even lifted his chin when talking to someone.

Including when Zhu Ge was talking to him, Bai Chen just realized that the man often refused to lower his head even though his status was higher than that man.

‘Perhaps he was born into a noble family in the human empire, and that’s why he doesn’t want to lower his pride even when he’s in front of a Prince like me,’ Bai Chen secretly concluded in his heart as he looked at taller men. ‘And he doesn’t even respect the boss of the Red Pavilion, and all because he was previously a noble.’

He didn’t even know the story before Zhu Ge became one of the male prostitutes in the Red Pavilion, but he was sure that the man had lived a life of hardship until he decided to sell his body.

Not only did he sell his body, but he also sold his body to other men who came to the Red Pavilion. To Bai Chen, that was the most tragic story he could imagine in his head, and he got goosebumps even if he just imagined it.

Feeling bad for the black-haired man, Bai Chen sighed before deciding, “Alright, Zhu Ge can follow me to Wenxue Pavilion.”

Once again, Bai Chen could see how Ma Qiao gasped while Zhu Ge enthusiastically clapped his hands like a seal. Maybe he should get used to that ridiculous sight since those two people would always be by his side from now on.

“W-why do you want to take him with you, Your Highness?” Ma Qiao once again protested with a stutter, and Bai Chen almost rolled his eyes.

“I want to take him with me because I want to do something naughty with him in the pavilion. Do you want to join us?” The Prince coldly answered the question.

His reputation in the empire was already bad, and it wouldn’t be too bad even if he said something like that to his servant. The servant could only gasp before shaking his head furiously.

Ma Qiao looked frightened, but Bai Chen paid no heed to the man as he immediately grabbed Zhu Ge’s wrist and dragged the man into Wenxue Pavilion. He looked ahead, and he didn’t know how Zhu Ge stuck his tongue out as he looked back at Ma Qiao, and the older maid could only groan in annoyance.

Arriving at the door of Wenxue Pavilion, Bai Chen was about to open the lock with the key he got from the Crown Prince, but Zhu Ge suddenly stopped his movement by grabbing his wrist. The sudden movement was enough to make him look to the side.

“I’ll open the door for you,” said the taller man as he took the key from Bai Chen’s hand and used it to unlock the door.

Bai Chen sneered when he saw how Zhu Ge was trying to appear like a gentleman in front of him. The man was indeed a prostitute, but Bai Chen had just realized that the man rarely addressed him as ‘Your Highness’ just like how Ma Qiao usually called him.

‘His family must be a respected family in the human empire to the point he doesn’t want to show his respect for me,’ Bai Chen thought, but he didn’t have time to rebuke the taller man because the door in front of him was finally opened after the man pushed it. He fell silent as his blue eyes looked at the situation inside the pavilion. ‘What the hell is this?’ He couldn’t even stop himself from cursing in his heart.
